Walking alone in Garbage City, Cairo may seem like a daunting and dangerous task to some, but the reality is that its actually quite safe.
Despite the name, Garbage City is a bustling and lively neighborhood filled with hardworking people going about their daily lives. The streets are bustling with vendors selling their goods, and the narrow alleyways are full of folks going about their daily routines. This is one of the most important recycling sites of all Africa.
As with travelling anywhere, it's important to be aware of your surroundings and to take precautions to ensure your safety. However, the residents of Garbage City are generally friendly and welcoming to outsiders, and the crime rate is relatively low. In fact, many people who have visited or lived in Garbage City report feeling safer there than in other more touristic parts of Cairo.
So if you're considering a solo walk through Garbage City, don't let the name or preconceived notions hold you back. With some caution and an common sense , you can have a safe and enjoyable experience exploring this unique neighborhood
We will also explore the Cave Church and see one of the most important sites of Egyptian Christianity

I didn’t feel that Sharm was dangerous at all. What did disturb me was guys working until 3am + to ensure the city was fine for dignitaries for cop 24 (or whatever it was) as it doesn’t involve the inhabitants and is just making the city look good for the extremely wealthy. I love Egypt and the people, but these improvements should be only for the Egyptians and not for other Countries deciding their fate.

Good video. I've been in Cairo for 3 times, like a tourist. I've been there like alone women, sounds strange isn't it? Yes, my tourist guides from Egypt were with me. But, all of them, guides, drivers, I've met them for the first time. I visited numerous cites and villages and parts without tourists. Egyptian people are remarkable. I like and really respect country and people there. I hope so that I'll go there again, and again. P.S. Yes, I sow Cairo few times. I never been in this part of city. Lot of garbage are everywhere. But I've felt that something happen with that garbage. Thank you for this video.
