F1 has the Concorde Agreement, Indycar is apparently drawing up something called a Charter. NASCAR already has one but it's expiring soon with no renewal looking to take place, but I'm surprised Indy doesn't already have one.
But with everything else going on, is guaranteeing certain teams a slot in Indy and then forcing newbies and smaller teams to qualify a good idea and begin shutting itself off, doing what it's accusing F1 of doing? Or is this a way of securing the long term future of the sport? And, on top of this, how does it contend with NASCAR which is now about to make billions?
Let's have a look.
