The plaintiff loaned his ex-girlfriend money to help cover bills and the insurance on her son’s truck. He says the defendant hasn’t repaid him and he wants to back out of their payment deal, so he’s suing. The defendant argues the plaintiff came up with a plan to set her son’s truck on fire to collect insurance.

@@traceyaz125 I thought so too but he doesn't interpret when the plaintiff is talking. And the plaintiff looks forward when the defendant is talking. I wonder if the plaintiff is hard of hearing, or completely deaf but can read lips, and the interpreter is here for when he misses a couple words

@@puzzlite well, Gallaudet University is geared more for deaf students. They do have a program for interpreters, but it’s a very small part for hearing individuals. There are several other equal/slightly better places for interpreting.

I love these types that can't make their vehicle payment, owe money on it and are trying to sell it to get out from under it - but they can damn well go on a vacation. Dollars to donuts these folks ALL collected every penny they could get from the tax payers when the feds were sending money to anyone who asked during covid and spent it on shit they didn't need and couldn't afford. Probably bought that truck with some of that money and took a couple of vacations then too. The area I live in attracts tourists, and all that time the feds were sending people money because of the "shut downs" our area saw TONS of people like these here vacationing rather than saving, paying bills and figuring out their next step. Spending money that wasn't theirs and partying on tax payers money that was intended to help people pay their bills and survive.
