A trip to remote Northern Myanmar, featuring footballing monks, an encounter with an angry mob and a village not visited by foreigners since the 1930s.
Arriving in Yangon during the Thingyan water festival, we travel North in an attempt to get off the beaten track, and end up in a number of ridiculous situations as we navigate bureaucracy and ever-suspicious police. After travelling up the Chindwin river through Sagaing state, we reach the little-visited Chin Hills. Touring Chin State by motorbike, we traverse poor quality roads to find remote villages, friendly locals, music and surprise celebrations. Off the beaten path Myanmar (Burma) and its people in all their glory, with plenty of funny moments along the way.
