I just got my hp pavilion 15 and this machine is lit , the cooling is the best part along with superb fps in latest games like spider man , rdr2 , val , etc

are there significant improvements with 3050 version of this laptop? or its just almost the same as the 1650?

In term of raw performance, the RTX 3050 is only 10-15% faster. But the RTX can enable DLSS features which will improve FPS at the expense of slightly lower graphics quality.

Does Pavilion gaming has power control(which could control fan speed as performance, balanced and quiet) to save battery? I heard only Victus has option to control battery but Victus only has 60hz display.

Please tell me I have the same laptop I would like to ask for advice I play cs without charging, cyberpunk2077, the processor heats up to 60 and when I turn on the charge it starts to work harder and rises to 80 and the image and quality are the same as it was, how is it better to play with or without charging?

It's always better to play with the charger on. Without the charger you are destroying the laptop's battery.

We only had the laptop for a few days. We didn't face any hinge issues but the laptop is poorly built. Like most laptops under $1000, this laptop is not designed to last 4-5 years, but 2-3 years.

The 1 TB nvme won't make much of a difference. The 16 gh will noticeably improve performance, you might get 25% higher FPS.

I don’t know if hp has been producing worse products or this ryzen 5 is bad. I own the 2020 pavilion with 1650 (GDDR6) + i7-10750H. And get 70 fps in average at medium settings using the AC Odyssey Benchmark. And about the temps, is also running hot. My gpu never touches 78 degrees and now that I undervolted and repasted it, my cpu max temp is 79C. I think I got lucky with this laptop.

Same here bro ..... I was playing god of war game it recahed 97°c at some point....but it was never constant like that....i guess it's because of my ambient temperature.... it's summer time so maybe that's the issue....it never crossed 95 before .....ig 5600 does get hotter a Lil bit

How can you use more than 6 gb ram? I have the same specs but lenovo 1x8 gb ram and dedicated cpu takes 2 gb from my 8gb ram and i can use only 5.9 gb ram.

Not really. I mean, the system will use a sort of virtual on disk memory in case it runs out if RAM. The on disk memory is slow and in games will lead to stuttering

@@bringmethanos9145Still works pretty well.Definitely worth it. The only issue I'm facing is that the boot time increased from 7s to 17s which is mostly due to software and changes made by me,so you don't have to worry abt it.

No, it's because this laptop is cheap and had poor cooling. Most $1000 laptops run at 90C max.

I think the lowest FPS which still keeps the game experience enjoyable is 45. You can play on 30 FPS, but that's if you don't really have any other choice.

GTX 1650 should be better. RX5500M does better in benchmarks, but in games the GTX performs better.

Well yes, both run hot, have poor chassis quality and often power throttle. They are low budge gaming laptops, so comprises had to be made. I would rather recommend the hp victus or the legion 5 or the nitro 5.

@@Raj-td6vh I think the 4800H should be better. Actually, whatever laptop you buy, if it's with Ryzen then get 16GB of RAM. Otherwise the laptop will run 25% slower.

@@Notebcom Hi, so I bought this exact same laptop, and its performance was really good. I opened up HP Support Assistant and it said 2 slots of memory were being used. 4x2 Hynix 3200Mhz. So after all it was dual channel. Sorry for the confusion earlier because I expected most budget gaming laptops to be single channel and not dual.

Temps are showing above 90 but you showed 80 at start. and i get more fps in same laptop same settings in gta and fortnite. i get 60-70fps everything maxed and 50-60 fps in fortnite everything maxed.

You 100% don't use the same settings as we did. For instance, we usually enable anti-aliasing in GTA V. All in all, what you see is how the laptop performs out of the box. Anything else we can't comment on.

I have the same laptop.. Can I play god of war which is releasing on 14th jan.. I have only 8GB ram I just want 60 fps no matter I play on 720p

You should be able to, yes. But that's just a guess. If the God of war they release will be poorly optimised, then no, you won't be able to play in 60 fps regardless of resolution.

Bro 🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️in GTA v only 40 fps average thats impossible because I have seen 2 other videos of hp pavilion ryzen 5600h for GTA v testing and in those there is 70 fps average .can you explain why it is happening 🤔🤔🤔

They use different settings than the default ones. Generally they disable anti-aliasing since that one gives a massive performance penalty in GTA V. We test only on pre-defined settings to keep consistency between the FPS of different laptops.

Anti-aliasing is a feature that smooths out rough edges in games and makes everything look more movie like. It's usually unnecessary on high resolution displays, but on fhd it makes everything look smoother. However, it usually eats up a lot of processing power.

Sekiro is frame-capped at 60, so 60 fps :). You can install third party mods that enable higher fps.

Not for casual gaming, only if you want to play competitive non-PS5 games, like LoL or Dota 2.

I would say the legion is better. You should get that one. The pavilion had 2 X 4gb which is faster than 1 X 8gb but prevents you from upgrading later on.

The best is 4600h with with gtx 1650ti. The performance difference between 4600 and 5600h is very small.

You have to understand that an online game 2 years ago was different than the same game today. Games receive updates both content and visually, so the performance just keeps decreasing over time.
