Don’t agree: Federer played better, took match to 5set to Novak in Wimbledon before losing than Novak did in us open loss in straight sets to medvedev. Broken rackets definitely his fault, but the ball to the linesman’s neck was a honest mistake, no malice intended. Not a Novak fan but it was just bad luck.

Smashing racquets is for his own frustration, nothing to do with his opponent. And secondly he picked up a shoulder injury after match with PCB for bronze medal which is why he had to withdraw from Toronto, Cincinnati masters as well. These things happen in doubles, your partner gets injured and you have to accept and move on. You want Novak to play with an injured shoulder to make things worse.
