Murray was a beast back then. Fast, strong, powerful. Nowadays he looks fragile, slow and weak.

he's always a beast to me. He's still very tactical and yes he usually only gets to round 3 nowadays but with his body and at his age most players would not even make the main draws. Saying Murray is strong and powerful is also not very accurate he's never known for his power he's a counter puncher and a defensive player. He won matches in the past purely by adapting to his opponents and outsmarting them. That to me makes him a beast.

Man you gotta feel for Murray after all these years at the AO tho. This was probably his best chance at getting it, but with Novak you gotta earn every point. 2 points away from taking a two sets to love lead, playing at his best. Just couldn't get over the finish line.

I’d honestly argue that Novak is equally as dominant at the AO as Rafa is at RG when you take into account that the level of competition is better at the AO and weaker at RG. The level of competition on clay is weaker of that on hardcourts. Not everyone is good on clay, in fact there were only like 2 players that could really hang in there with Nadal, but on hardcourts everyone is competitive, especially at the AO, so stats aside I think Novak is just as good at his golden palace.

2012-2014 was just a Goddamn Djokovic at the peak of his powers !! It's a shame that he won just 3/12 slams in that period !! All owing to his mental fragility !! He should have been at 25 by now !!

But Nadal Murray was also at their peak of game especially Nadal the level of competition in grand slams was out of this world back then wheras today there is no one giving tough time to djoker in grand slams

Exactly so the fact Wawrinka beat Djokovic at the AO in 2014 is insane. To this day only Wawrinka could beat a prime healthy Djokovic at the AO, Murray never could, though Murray won more overall than Wawrinka. What a golden age of tennis that was though.
