Great Review of the FEF-3!! The whistle and bell are great too!! In my personal opinion it is one of the greatest lionel Legacy locos that were ever made!! Cant wait to see the gs-2 and gs-4 reveal!!!

Thank you~!! Def one of the best models from the modern era of lionel!! I love the deep chuff and haunting whistle and it just makes the engine even more awesome~! Hopefully we’ll see the GS-2 in soon~!!

As nice as the newer run was, this one definitely has a better whistle. I miss it when Lionel would use a unique whistle in each of their engines, plus the engine specific crew dialogue. Nice video, glad I found your channel

Not sure if you know but lionel makes a kit to switch the mars light lense to the correct red colored lense. I had mine switched over when i first bought it in 2007. Lionel got it correct on the 2016 re-release of the FEF-3s. I bought the 838 from that run since she’s the parts engine for 844 and i didn’t want to have 2 of the 844. Great video and i just subscribed!

I grew up watching Matt Flanigan videos on it and I had to pick one up as an adult. She’s a beauty and I’m so happy to be able to add this to my collection~!

@@Audamus I got my southern pacific 3000 daylight recently and it has a minor problem for some reason mine goes much slower then it was before but it runs fine

Absolutely beautiful model of the 844! I have been looking for an HO version of her for a long time! But unfortunately they are so 🤬 expensive!

Thank you, and yes unfortunately there was an incident that occurred last year with 844. Someone was too close to the tracks and not paying attention. This is why as awesome as steam engines are, they should be respected as well
