My grandpa took over the farm the original homestead in 1929. He told his sons ,never get mad when it rains.

To us in Eastern Canada the thought of a field being measured in miles is almost inconceivable.

Let alone parts of Europe. My average is what, 6 or 7 acres and im on the higher end for our area.. Drainage is what kills the productivity here. Along with outcrops of rock.

4 miles by 2 miles parcel I know of here in se Saskatchewan. Couldn’t imagine doing that with my 15 ft drill

It’s amazing to see a 2 mile long field, growing up in Southeastern Michigan, we didn’t have any fields that big, most were 40 acres +/- It is also amazing to see 500+ hp planting tractors. The views out there are amazing. I would like to help one season from planting to harvest. Thanks for the videos, Mike.

Need a 40 ft to comeback to seed. I had an uncle that used to stop with his grain drill an hand pitch seed on the smaller spots You could use like a small broadcast spreader behind you side by side or 4 wheeler. He always had something come it seemed lije.

Mike, you will be able to run a marathon after trying to keep up with that tractor. Two mile rows are unforgiving on foot. Wow!

Big fields are nice, on long days you can set a alarm on your phone so I can sleep for 10min or so.

Considering how much dust is blowing up your soils are still looking very damp. I’d hope ye have a good growing season and a good harvest considering all the money you’ve invested in the last few years ye deserve a break.

Early May seeded crops around here are pretty short and thin. Later seeded stuff might be the win if we catch some late rains

Turn the temperature control down so it doesn't ice over the evaporator core. Or increase the fan speed and add heater to thaw it out.

The evaporator core is first in line in the system, all the heater will do is warm you, it will not thaw the ice on the evaporator core!

Mike how do those hydraulic lift cylinders that lift the seed openers move up and down and contour the ground given that hydraulics have zero give in them? Shouldn’t they all be completely solid as they are hooked up to the tractor’s hydraulics?

Hydraulic is in fliat to allow them to move but hold a certain minimum pressure.

Turn back to do row 2 turn at start and up row 3 turn at us border and back row 1 to where Mike asked him to turn and back up the remaining part of row 2 tun at us border and back full-length of field on row 4

All of it. That drill likes all of the horsepower that the 9620R has. The 9620R is 620 the Fendt 1167 is 670

Can’t believe you guys are still seeding. So many good growing days lost. Should be seeding 24hrs a day. Do not turn the tractor off until the seeds are in.

He also has shown in another video that the fertilizer towers can clog when the humidity gets higher, like during the night. Although in that video he was trying to seed when a fog rolled through.
