I feel like Eren completing 100% rumbling and erasing all subjects of ymirs memories would be a different ending which quite literally be more satisfying. Like yes he killed the whole world outside of paradis but he actually achieved his goal. The intro song when he says " I never wanted to be the king" kind of fits this. We know that the king erased all eldians memories since they had the founding titan.

Isayama was an inspiration, still is however, I lost alot of respect for him after the last chapters. Now with the extra pages, he has basically murdered his own child.

when eren got access to the founder he became all knowing, he realized that he was just part of a show and he came to the conclusion that in order to end this war and the Titans he had to make it so ppl weren’t interested so the story could end, he used his powers of the founder to to change everyone’s memories and that’s why the fandom is so spilt and what ppl took away from him is so different.

You see, the original ending had around half the fandom hating it. But that wasn’t enough. So Isayama changed the ending so that the other half would also hate it. Isayama didn’t plan for Eren to be the symbol of hatred, he meant for himself to become it. Isayama with the big brain plays.

This isn't about wether Eren is "Cool" or was a Chad like other people said, it's about his motivation man. Rumbling 80% the world population while sparing 20% is objectively a bad plan in the long run, proved by the extra pages that was released after the ending. Maybe his so called friend can live in peace for the rest of their lifetime but what about the future generation? Are they deserve to suffer and constantly live in fear of the world? As proven by the extra pages, Eren plan and Armin talk no jutsu doesn't work at all and because of Eren interference they lost the only weapon that they can use to defending themselves against the threat from the outside of the island, titan power. Aren't Eren in chapter 131 have a monologue that he was torn between sacrificing the island for greater good or defending the eldia, his people, by initiating the rumbling and commited a world mass genocide? Aren't he just lie in his own monologue or aren't he change his mind in the middle? It doesn't make any sense man. When he forcefully brought his friend to the paths aren't he admitted that he wouldn't gamble the future of the island? The future of eldia of paradis? The future of his people?. Wanting his friend to live a long fruitful live is a wish of Eren, and his priority as chapter 131 is to save his people, BUT all of a sudden the table was flipped upside down, suddenly the future of the island and the next generation of eldia doesn't really matter anymore and his priority is to ensure to brought a long time for the island to advancing and catch up to the remaining population of the world? The 20% population who eventually would nuke paradis to the ground? Lol. If his plan is only to brought time and to gamble the future of the island, why wouldn't he just follow zeke plan? At least if he follow Zeke plan the future generation of eldia wouldn't suffer for the mistake of their ancestor, want to know why? It because they wouldn't even exist or born in the first place lol. And his friend would still live a long lifetime because if he follow Zeke plan, then he would destroy the world military and then both eldia and the world would be on the same page, except Eldia would stil have their titan power. And might i add, as in chapter 139 it was revealed that Eren can sacrifice his own mother and father to furthering his goal but he can't sacrificing his friends? What kind of logic is this? Any person with enough brain cell would definitely choose their family first before their friend, i mean your father and mother practically brought you to this world, bore and raised you until you became an adult, always supporting you and love you for the rest of your live, BUT suddenly it was okay and logical to choose your friend who practically a stranger and who can only give their "Condolence" wether something bad happen to you compared to your parents who will always sided and guided you for their whole lifetime?

The ending really has a big effect on a story. I started questioning what on earth was on Isayama's head when he was thinking about the ending after seeing the extra pages.

She treats Louise(a dying girl) cruelly. She is not much bothered by Eren's genocide in Marley but it makes her angry if eren is kicked once in the face after that. You literally can't have Mikasa without mentioning Eren. Her whole character revolves around him. She has absolutely no motivation to do anything other than follow Eren around like a slave. Mikasa doesn't even have a character development. For someone who is supposed to represent ymir moving on with the king, she is still stuck with eren till her death like how ymir is stuck in the paths for thousands of years.🤡🤡🤡🤡

If the whole point of the anime and manga was to prevent the past from repeating itself, why is it repeating itself? It accomplished nothing but tell a story of the lives of characters at a point in time. Made us fall in love for literally nothing. Nothing lost nothing gained and it didn’t even feel fulfilling. I would appreciate it more and be okay with how things happened, had it made sense, been smooth all the way through, and tied back to the beginning but this is just anxiety and a mind fuck we didn’t need
