Love the way this cage looks. Everything here is awesome as hell, but that cage looks SOOOOO much better than a lot Ive seen built. Looks way more unobtrusive than most. Good job Tom and crew!

I love the attention to detail. Nelson Racing does some unbelievable work. I'd love to see them use their expertise on something like an R34 Skyline or toyota Supra just for a change of pace. If they put the same detaisl into modernizing a car like that I think it would be a stunner.

Amazing work as always guys. I love that you were able to squeeze in all that while maintaining the stock appearance. I hope we get to see a second video with a test drive and maybe some 1/4 mile numbers.

I believe Tom is referring to it being NHRA legal to go as quick as 8.50 not that it will or will not go that quick. Probably need more than the pump gas output but with his turbo setups that is very easy. Add octane, turn up the boost. Engine/trans/diff will probably support 1200rwhp or more. After that it comes down to traction and chassis tuning. Awesome effort as always.

I like to see when people build fast cars with a ton of HP & TQ as this Camaro, but with ALL of EVERYTHING it came with, and not all gutted 7 shit. It's WAAAYYY more impressive to see a "FULL" Car that's setup to make as much HP & TQ as possible, but also still retain all it's factory counterparts & attributes, such as, AC, Power Steering, & full interior. I wish more people would build more cars like that, regardless of the year, make, model...

Tom, I just built my first boosted small block. Any recommendations on ignition timing? (I.e. subtract 1 degree per # of boost?) I've also read that you should advance until the tq stops moving up with rpm. Is this theory true for boosted motors too?

Stock 2012 Camaro weights around 3700 lbs. This NRE car with all the extra probably weights in around 4000 lbs. And its a manual. 1000hp is not enough to get a 8.50 time. Would surprise me if it gets low 9's.
@Rudderify

The car runs an auto plus it has 1,000 HP on only 15.8lbs of boost. Twist the wick and 8s are within grasp for sure.
@tech4dummies584

gfimpen They could run a trans brake with some fat ass drag radials and easily get low 9's with this thing. Hell, I've seen a 2007 GT500 with twins at barely over 1,000 rwhp (twin 67's) go 8.90's with a trans brake/auto at 155+ mph...

***** It will do 8.50's but not on pump gas, it needs more than 1000 hp to do it. I see a low 9 second pass with 91 octane, but no more.
