Happened to me in 82, but the worst was 94. Seven game series that was right down to the wire. I gave up on emotional investment after that one.

i got tickets to the cbj game and took one of my friends. it was his first ever canucks game and he went through all the highs and lows of being a canucks fan in one game, even got a tshirt from the cannon. I think I just made a new canucks fan

I’ve been a nucks fan for 7 years now and I have never seen a team as fiery and exciting as this one. I strongly remember turning off the TV while watching with my parents in like 2015 when the Canucks were down 3-4 goals in any game. But now times have changed and… THE VANCOUVER CANUCKS ARE GOOD! Great vid as usual and I’ll take 2nd place on the leaderboard but one day I will have that glorious 1st

Only 7 years? Damn, there are fans like me that have been watching the ups and downs of this team since the early 80s thinking that you have not put in enough time in to really complain about the bad. Consider yourself lucky you never had to endure the mid 80s, the Keenan era or the Messier era. Those were far more brutal times than anything we had to deal with over the last decade.

Getting to watch Quinn Hughes play hockey every night is one of the best things we get to do as Canucks fans. Soak it up because it doesn’t last forever. I remember watching the Sedins and thinking .. this will last forever …. It doesn’t. It ended faster than I thought. So now I watch this team and I soak up every minute of not only Huggy but the entire team. We got something special this year and whatever happens I can say Hockey is Fun in Vancouver again. My home town baby ya !!! ** sorry for the run on sentences and rant but ya just love this game and team.

@@joeynova9896 no. I only learned when i got home that you can go to gate 9 and get your hat back. You have to search through every other hat that was thrown on the ice tho. You have 30 days to retrieve your hat so i still have a chance. I loved that blue jays bucket

45 years old been a fan since 90!((Chilliwack born) 2 runs and lots of disappointments! need to weight for the second round of the playoffs to get excited but do love a good hat trick!

I don’t expect a cup run this year. Maybe not even next year. Playoffs is just something else and teams need experience there to make it.

Quinn is incredible. He's so consistent every shift. He's just that much better than everyone else on the ice that he never has to compromise his play to deal with a particular matchup. I remember watching a few years ago and thinking "yeah I get why people like him, but he keeps getting muscled off the puck." That just isn't a factor anymore. He can play keep-away for possession in tiny spaces and never seems to get tired the way other players do despite being on the ice for as much as 30 minutes. He's always making moves on the blue-line in the O-zone but I don't think I've seen him get pushed offside a single time this year. He will go down in history.

As far as the best canucks of all time, its really hard to say until the smoke settles and their careers are over. However skill wise, i’d say that the trio of: petterson, hughes, and demko are 3 of the most elite players we’ve ever drafted. But only time will tell if their mark is more impactful than other former canucks greats.

@@delilahknight6068 petey isn’t signing because agents are aware that the cap is going up next season. And on managements’ end; they have no reason to rush a deal because petterson is an RFA on july 1st, not a UFA. It’s all pretty standard.

Love that future franchise player :-) I do believe you as a 48-year Canucks fan. I bought the Hughes official Jersey after his first year. I completely agree that it is the best D the Cancuks ever had. Yes, a shiny blue helmet was a boo for me. Do not need to change to mimic Vegas and LA. Just keep wearing the black retro jersey and play hard like they have. Please don't trade Kuzmenko, since there is another half of the season and playoffs. Keep what is not broken.

By the way I attended Hughe's first game. And I can't even remember if we lost or won that game. I only remember the overtime shift when all of us Canucks fans watched our 'future'. It was amazing. @@lannon4prez I agree, they could be better. I trust JR and Patrik Allvin. It's clear they have full control of the team. JR wouldn't have came here. I think that's why he left Pittsburgh, he wanted to rebuild after the second cup and the ownership didn't.

I agree with literally everything said. Well put, well analyzed. People wanna harp, but being first in EVERY winning statistic, while fielding the best roster in this franchise's history is more than enough for me. Hughes is absolutely the best player to ever wear a Canucks jersey. He and Miller are the engine, and all we can do is oil it until deep into June.

Love these vids dude! Nucks are my team, and I started out the season not bothering to watch games.... then I read the stories... they start winning, and I'm still not watching. I was like, its early in the season, they will pull the same shit and fall off. Then the end of 2022 came to a close and I was still not watching games, cuz now I'm afraid that if I do, they may not win. These videos have kept me up to date, and have been pumping me up for the post season. I will start watching.... Just not yet! Keep up the great work!

I think your comment about petterson selling it is so true. It doesn’t even matter if he sold the cross check more or not. It’s being gritty in the most important moments that matters. That’s what will be the difference come playoffs. Can the Canucks deal with not getting penalties called? I think that was the downfall of the 2011 Canucks.

And what the purpose of the penalties then if you can cross check someone (or trip) and be granted with a win? Shouldn't penalties make games more safe? It looks like this year Canucks they can win without penalties. I really hope so. They are the first in the league by scoring 5 on 5. And especially after wins like against NSH when J.T. Miller has sat for six minutes and two of them was because he was cross checked.

Hockey is a fast moving sport. Even with two referees on the ice, calls will be missed. At the end of the day, even if the calls aren’t going your way, the better team prevails.

Unfortunately I was born just a couple years too late to witness Bure’s greatness in real-time. But I’ve re-watched some of those classic games and would have to agree that if it’s not Hughes, it’s gotta be Bure or the Sedins.

Gotta say, I like the new chrome domes, I think they should wear them more often. As for their best player, that's Henrik. Quinn still has a long, long way to go and a heck of a lot more proving to do before we put him up in that category, but he is off to a pretty good start though
