WELCOME TO DESIGN SEED!
When we were passing through this quiet neighbourhood along Old Klang Road, we were captivated by the exterior of this intriguing green facade corner house.
In today’s episode on Design Seed, we will be sharing the story behind this 40-year-old property that was transformed from a single-storey corner house to a stunning biophilic home.
Just when we decided to turn around to get a closer look, the gates opened and there he was, Sebastian the owner was right about to bring his fine-looking dog for a walk.

A masterclass in tropical design: large overhangs to create shade, keep the sun off the openings, allow breezes to flow through the home, using plants to create cool and shade… When you don’t have an air conditioned box, you allow the body to adjust to the atmosphere around it and to get outside and explore. Design for the climate you live in😊.

@@hebie666 always good to have the option of an air conditioner installed, but there’s also a case for the building to be cool enough to not have to use it all of the time to be comfortable.

Design Seed, is it possible for you to share with us houses that are designed and made for old people / wheelchaired residents? thanks! I think a lot of architects/designers are doing a great job when it comes to the aesthetic aspect in a tropic house, yet not many consider about a house that accommodates the final stage of life. A beautiful and functional abode for old people will be inspiring to watch.

great tour & shooting.. bit of feedback guys, watch the levels on the background music.. makes it hard to focus on the tranquility of the design / house with the music up so loud .. also hard to concentrate on the overdubbed voices too

The thing about sensor lights is that.. it switches off automatically if there is no movement. Imagine you’re in the couch watching a movie. It’ll just switch off regularly!

You are right, But with the Loxone smart home system, the sensors are truly smart that and can detect sound. So, if someone is watching a movie without any movement, the sensor detects the sound and keeps the light on.

Beautiful work but sitting area is very very small against the unused spaces at the enterance and It feels like you're stuck in a corner when you can sit in a place with such high ceilings.

ich denke das Haus ist sehr schön geworden, nur habe ich es leider nicht gesehen, denn ich habe dieses VDO nach ca 5 Sekunden gestoppt, aufgrund deiner soooooo schlechten englischen Aussprache, wenn man es nicht kann, sollte man es lassen, oder das VDO auf Deutsch vertonen

The toilet should have been a built in type. The tv on that pole is terrible, there are wooden tv stands that much more stylish. Brick floor will be a nightmare to clean, should have been polished concrete. Beautiful raw concrete colums are hid behind the smoot surfaces, sad. The Tree in the middle of the livingroom is laughable and this house is not for a family, but rather for a buchelor.. The steelwork looks nice.

Salam. Hi there 👋. Nowadays some of the housing areas are gated. Already use RFID also. Houses like semi detached are also beautiful. Beautiful art. Good job 🎉
