Shaday White me too!! I was so frustrated because I was attending ITT Tech and they closed a year before I finished my associate RN. We had no notice and the staff was fired by email. I applied to go to ECPI University and took my entrance exams and it was accepted. I did everything I could to prepare for this accelerated program. I got a JEEP & moved so that I would be closer to the university in case of Bad weather. About two months into the program, I woke up one morning and my neck felt like I was giving birth through my cervical vertebrae. The nerves in my arms hurt and I could barely cut off my alarm. The ER did nothing and I waited five days to see my physical medicine doctor and due to that happening, ECPI Dropped me from the RN program even though my absence was excused by a doctor. I was heartbroken and in pain. I decided I didn’t want to go back and try nursing again. This is giving me more help to try just one more time because perhaps at the other two colleges I was just in the wrong place and at the wrong time.

@@montereyharris1277 ITT TECH is just a scam anyway . The degrees are fake . You wouldn't have been able to practice nursing legally if you did graduate .

A masters in Nursing education is a great graduate program. I have my masters in nursing leadership. All accredited masters programs requires the three Ps patho, physical assessment, and pharmacology. The great thing is if you want to later become an NP you can do the post masters certificates where your three ps would transfer and you’d then just do your NP clinical and you’re awarded a post masters certificate not a new masters degree and you’re able to sit for NP board exams and board certification exams. Research post masters NP certificate programs. My masters has allowed me to work in academia which requires a masters in nursing no matter the concentration. My concentration is leadership but still qualifies me to teach and/or lead. I’m starting my DNP at GCU in January. Check that program out as well. You can specialize in educational leadership for your DNP! Congrats on going back. My MsN was an amazing eye opening experience.

@@adamdashawn Glad I found your channel. I subscribed last night lol. I live in California and I tried for the lvn program at my community college and it was more lottery based. So they only took 24 top students out of a 120, and I didn't get in. I have completed most of my prerequisites to get into the rn program. I only need two more science classes assuming I pass this semesters chem class. My final is next week lol. However I'm ancy to get into the workplace so I applied at another community college and got into a psch tech program that starts at the end of June and it's an 18 month program. I want to start building some experience and hopefully get hired with the state or county. My struggle has been just wanting to get my foot in the door already and it's just nice to know and hear that not everyone has to go the same way about it. Just because you start lower, does not mean that you have to stop there by any means. To see you you didn't stop at lpn is very motivating! And even more so that you are now considering your master's degree! That's awesome and I hope to see your experience along the way. Maybe you could talk about your schooling experience and the difference in maybe difficult as far as one program to the next? Thank you again for replying.

Denise Reyes Sounds like you have got a great plan! You are so right it doesn’t matter where you start but where are you finish. I went from CNA-LPN-RN-BSN! There is no issue with starting as an LPN! Good Luck to you. And review some more of my videos I am pretty sure I covered the differences in the difficulties between LPN and RN programs!

If people are interested in this type of nursing, and they want to mate really awesome money and make almost as much is a medical doctor, get your certified registered nurse anesthist!!! Here in Virginia they make about 150,000 to 170,000!!! If you have your associate RN, there is a program with the Roanoke higher education Center and associate RNs can go into a program RN or ADN - MSN &. It’s four years but they go from an associate degree RN to a masters degree nurse anesthetist!! They also have a DNP for the program & not so sure that a doctorate in nursing in that field would really make a lot more but people would just pay a heck of a lot more for getting a doctorate degree in nursing. Who in the world cares about a DNP if they have a masters degree and they’re making 170,000 a year?? I’m just giving people some suggestions because I’ve met two people that went into the program and absolutely love it!!

Adam Price, BSN, RN I’m currently attending a community college and I was working towards my associates degree in nursing however the process is going slowly because I failed a couple general Ed courses so I won’t be getting into the program here until fall 2020 and graduating in 2022. christinaheaven Yes, I went to a Technical school for LPN, Community College for RN (associates), and then University for BSN. NY and TN may have a lot of differences.

Hi, which do you think is better, the LPN courses in Community colleges or the LPN courses in private schools? Can you give me some advice ? Thanks
@emmacora30865 жыл бұрын
Community colleges take two years to complete the LPN program, while private schools only need to pass ATI Teas text to enroll, taking as little as one year. I don’t know how to choose
@adamdashawn5 жыл бұрын
Emma Cora Depends on your lifestyle. If you can buckle down and get it done in the one year program, which would probably be a more demanding program I’m sure, I would do that one. If you don’t want to be that overwhelmed than the 2 Year program would be better, plus the community college would probably be cheaper.

Hi, new subbie! I'm a LPN. Would you recommend LPN-RN bridge online? How long would you recommend before bridging. LPN for 7 months. Thnx🙂
@adamdashawn5 жыл бұрын
Google User thanks darling. I can’t really recommend an LPN to RN bridge online program because I did mine at my local community college. However, I’ve heard good things about Excelsior. I hear they are expensive though. I think you should bridge whenever you feel ready.

Google User don’t go to Chamberlain. It has one of the worst NCLEX Pass rates of all. I know there is a college in Maryland. I’m not sure what state you live in, but there is a college in Maryland that offers an LPN to RN Program

Google User now I remember it’s Allegheny University in Maryland
