For anyone looking to pick these up heres a few observations: * By far THEE Biggest consideration is how big is the actual heat spot of the burner, Mine is roughly 5 inches round, which is tiny, still does the job BUT, you have to move the pan around, I use 11.2 inches pans * In this demo Each pan looked Tiny for anyone wondering how big the heating element actually is Pay attention to the pan with the water in it, it looked Small. * Cooking with induction while it is fast, does not mean you should cook super fast, Take your time till you work out what gives you the best results * Get pans with glass Lids, I cannot emphasize the enough. Lids will will add another dimension to your cooking And avoid alot of splatter cleanup.

Ignorant question: I recently purchased a Copper Chef 9 1/2" deep square pan set (not from QVC). Would a square pan like the Copper Chef work well with a NuWave induction burner, or would it be better to go for an induction burner with a square base (f.ex., Copper Chef's own induction burner)?

DOSBoxMom That is a good question actually!!! As long as it is magnetic, It will work on your induction cooktop!!!! I tested all of my dad's cook wear....the magnet didn't stick to any of them! So that means it wouldn't work.

Starr I know its a little late but, I believe you can purchase special plates that you place under the pot to get it to heat up. Ill see what its called. Bed bath and Beyond has this(plenty others but for the sake of it)m82AIVHIGzCh2egQ_eEAQYASABEgLpbvD_BwE if you search induction disk you should see what I mean, sorry for weird wording Im not very eloquent

old comment, but it means your cookware isn't induction compatible

Using wrong pan. Must have induction . Put a magnet on bottom if it doesn't stick not induction 😊

This stove can be safe around children?
@jmarie63446 жыл бұрын
thundersnowstorm about as safe as a regular stove. You still should not let your children near it while in use.

pan will still be hot as will pots, Then the actual Hob once the pan is removed will still be hot from the pan being on it for a short time. the diff being an electric if you touch the element is insta burn, this, unless you just removed a pann of it stays cool around it.

BoredThatsWhy he explained that part in the beginning needs to stick to magnet
@redknight3439 Жыл бұрын
if a magnet stick to it then yes otherwise, you will need a hotplate adapter which will turn the hob into a normal electric heating element. so you can use copper or even glass on low heat.

You have to use the correct pan type ( a pan that a magnet can stick to on the bottom. )

I want to get one but the NOISE is ridiculous 😒
@chrisrichard2982 жыл бұрын
I've owned 2 of these for 8 years. Most of the noise you hear in the video is because of the cut in half pans they're using in the demo's. The only noise I really hear from mine is a fan inside that keeps the electronics cool. They've been super reliable, use less energy than a normal stovetop, and are easy to clean. I know I sound like a corporate shill, but I actually own two of these and genuinely love them.

@redknight3439 Жыл бұрын
Riiiight... you have done what kind of testing? something that insta switches itself off once the pan is removed uses more electricity??? Please explain How?
@gasser5001 Жыл бұрын
I don't think you understand how they work... they literally use less electricity than a traditional electric stove. Lol.
