Be careful about the nuwave warranties. I have purchased one on my platinum surface cooker for the extended three year. It went bad after two years and I have been trying to get it warrantied. Now they say that it is out of manufacturing and they will not honor the warranty. No offer for money back or replacement. Just tough out of luck. So do not purchase warranties from them and expect them to honor it. Also products usually go bad after year or two, so expect that you paying for usage for the product for a year or two. Also, customer service is terrible getting back to you. It takes weeks and months, then hear nothing from them again for weeks or months.

I purchased new same induction…. I got instruction not to put it on top of Electric Flat Glass stovetop (range), except on countertop…. Now I am leaving it on top of thick plywood on top of dishwasher, is it okay? Does NuWave Induction have strongest magnetic field can damage anything under to. Electric Flat Glass stovetop? Let me know soon so I will move away to somewhere, thanks!

@gardensofthegods5 жыл бұрын
mronemanband1 Yes that was the mistake I made at first.. I did not recall the ad I had seen years earlier and bought mine at a thrift shop.. it worked great with a pot I tried there so I assumed it would work good with my pots and pans at home.. none of them were for induction cooking and I went back to the thrift shop and got some pots and pans cheap that were for induction.

It has to be a pan that a magnet will stick too. No other plans will work.

mronemanband1 Dear Mr. 1 Man Band... I was having problems with my Google buffering non stop at that point in time. I like your guitar playing.. very nice , very professional . Comfortably Numb is not one of my Pink Floyd songs, I never really cared for it what you're playing did get me to notice that the guitar solo was actually much better than I had ever given it credit for.. I saw them in concert in Philly around '77., great show... needless to say .

It worked in the thrift shop and I had a weird feeling I would have problems with it when I got home and it's not working.
@stepmothercity5 жыл бұрын
Well, if you got it at the thrift then go buy a cheap pan there that works with it. Induction burners are worth the transition. They are so much more efficient.
@gardensofthegods5 жыл бұрын
Seaweed Witch Yeah I did that shortly after complaining and I bought a little refrigerator magnet and if the refrigerator magnet sticks to the bottom of it then it is induction ready... so this is what I'm trying to tell some other people here.

mronemanband1 some of the greatest Bargains I've ever gotten believe it or not...were at thrift shops.... everything from antique jewelry.. to art that was valuable and other people didn't realize it .. valuable vintage clothing including Chanel women's suits to original Gucci boots that were never worn.. even a rare leather bound and excellent condition first edition book each ..and every one of these items for things that should have been either in auction houses or fine upscale boutiques or antique shops and of course... in someone's private collection... but some people don't know how to identify objects of value... by the way , the NuWave burner works fine once you have the right type of pots and pans for it and I have also gotten an excellent convection countertop oven for very little money... some people are very good at saving money while other people spend a lot of money on some new items that are actually junk. Some people will spend money on Ikea crap rather than having things that are actually well made .I also used to work for an auction house and some people have no idea of the incredible jewelry ,artwork , silver , all kinds of things from very authentic beautiful real wood furniture , Oriental Rugs, antique musical instruments , vintage posters ... even vintage toys... you name it. I also used to work for an auction house and you would not believe some of the incredible Treasures that go through those places but it helps if one is able to identify them in advance so they don't get taken in and end up spending a lot of money for a replica or a fake... I had some millionaire friends who are dead now but they bought a box of photographs ..Black and Whites at an auction house decades ago and it turned out to be a box of photos ..Originals by Robert Mapplethorpe, you can look him up if you care to and find out the kind of prices He commands. And what I'm saying is that sometimes these types of items and objects for whatever reason do not end up at auction houses but instead people think are junk and end up in thrift shops.... in fact in the past year or two one such item was an original Banksy worth a lot of money .. I don't know if you know who Banksy is but there's several documentaries about him and one is called "Exit through the Gift Shop" . Also I have not been to any yard sales recently but there have been times I have found some incredible finds there.. in fact a couple times over the decades I've had to tell the seller that what they had was actually quite valuable and they might want to think twice before selling it so cheaply... most people cared that I pointed this out to them. So you just never know.. because it really is true that one man's trash is another man's treasure.

gardensofthegods.....I once knew a real estate appraiser who was embarrassingly cheap and refused to hire a personal property appraiser after her mother died. There were all sorts of items collected over time the daughter knew nothing of but still went the no-cost ebay route to try to value them. I shook my head and told her she should know better. Her response was $200/hr was too expensive---at which point I let the issue go. Really good appraisers are rare, selective about assignments and do command a hefty fee, so I can see how someone with a working or lower middle class income would opt out of spending X thousands to sift through a relative's lifetime of belongings.

E1?
@nuwaveoven3 жыл бұрын
Good Morning, The E1 error message means the unit is not detecting any cookware on the unit or the pan you are using is not induction ready cookware. Once easy way to test the cookware is to grab magnet and stick it to the bottom of th pan. If it sticks then it is induction ready and if it does not it is not induction ready cookware.

I called their hotline and they could only name for other brands that will work with this and one is Rachael Ray and I have no intention of giving my money to her ...I know someone who knows her personally and she's actually NOT a nice person. ALL CLAD TFal Gray Viking Professional And they claim any that a magnet will stick to but I highly doubt that
@woodendog5164 жыл бұрын
Only pots and pans that a Magnet will stick to no other plans will work my daughter got one and couldn't get it to work . I brought it home with me and couldn't get it to work then googled it . Cast Iron pans and skillets work on it and magnets do stick to cast iron.

Instead of pushing many electronic buttons multiple times , why not eliminate all the confusion and put a couple of simple twist knobs to operate this thing. Going to just use my gas stove and fry pan. Don't need to complicate my life more than necessary. Don't buy one of these.
@gardensofthegods5 жыл бұрын
Paul Jaragoske I'm not sure why you're having problems with it but please do try it because once I got the right kinds of pots and pans it really does work good... while I would prefer knobs because I don't like digital stuff I just always make sure that after I press the temperature button that I press start afterwards... mine came with no instructions and sometimes it won't seem to turn off so I just unplug it after I'm done using it.. but it does work good
@DadeReLLiK5 жыл бұрын
Believe it or not, those types are more expensive, but they do exist..
@gardensofthegods5 жыл бұрын
Ron Jon Interesting because I didn't know that... but really the one that I have with the 5 or 6 temperature settings and the start button should not really be a problem... and it does work really well but I have warned people that if you let something boil over like I did when I made spaghetti.. some of it got down into the vent and it must have had a lot of starch in it... the cooker did not work after that I tried it a number of times and it just wouldn't work.. I stuck it in a closet and forgot about it for about 6 weeks 7 weeks and then the day I was going to throw it out something told me to try it and it worked... please just make sure that you don't let anything boil over because it could ruin the inside mechanism.
@gardensofthegods5 жыл бұрын
Ron Jon Also some guy here on this video that commented called mr. One Man Band says that people can buy an iron plate to put over it and therefore that will make any kind of pots and pans compatible with it... it's good to know that even though I don't need that item, some other people could surely benefit from it

Wide Awake Wondering if you ever resolved the issue with your stove top cooker... I went to a thrift shop and bought some pots and pans that work.. If a magnet will stick to the bottom of it then it is induction cookware and will work with this ...I saved some money that way.
