Yes it is. I will need to make sure when I do that future PC build that the motherboard has the proper slot layout to allow me to use some of the x4 PCIe slots.

I may still do that, however I will monitor with my Thermal Imaging unit when I test it 1st. I did snap the Thermaltake cable into the card connector and it seems quite sturdy and locked-in. However I will be cautious.

​@@PE4Doers I beg you get the Cable Mod adapter! What are 39 USD in the grand scheme, you already spent so much money and I want you, your family and your PC safe. The angled adapter now in V 1.1 is not about "snapping in"! It was conceived for the cable of the 4090 to NOT bend too close to the GPU connector. Because of the Power this cable has to deliver esp. under load. Cable Mod states you need 35mm / 3.5 cm or 1.4 Inch distance BEFORE the first BEND of the 12VHPWR Cable occurs. I recommend GN videos on the history, discovery and development of the Melting Cable Saga.

@@KathrinHausermann Kathrin, I just read your Email and I thank you. I will do a little more research to make sure that specific product is the solution, then I will most likely buy one. I would never risk a card that I spend so much time locating and at such a cost.

Probably not at first, since it would be my first custom water cooling attempt, however I may later include the card. We'll have to see how things go.

I did not realize the Zotac variant used the same connector. To be totally honest, I am currently being VERY careful before I do a build with that GPU, since the investment was so large. I have already ordered the CableMod 90-deg adapter, but it will take about three weeks to receive it due to back-orders (done on the recommendation of my most dedicated follower). I may still put it on my Test Bench and make sure the cable is very straight and solidly connected as I do some testing. Stay tuned.

I forgot to fix that entirely during the edit. Also, I was finally able to measure it with my Postal Scale, and it was actually 6.2 pounds (2.81 kg) in the packaging and only 4.4 pounds (2 kg) out of the packaging. It had entirely uploaded to KZfaq and completed processing to 4K by the time I remembered that I wanted to correct that.
