I know for a fact he does. I have been blessed with the ability to buy my grandmother's home. I know it means a lot to my dad and his siblings knowing their childhood home is still in the family. But I love walking into the kitchens in the morning and remembering my grandma making a special breakfast for my siblings and I when ever we got to spend the night. And so many other fun memories.

It's stupid to fill it up halfway with ice. This takes out all the carbonation! They should use very cold carbonated water/"Seltzer"/club soda. The best Coke comes in a very, but not ice cold can (or else you have the same carbonation problem). It's even better than from a glass bottle! The bottle let's sun ray in and the carbon dioxide escapes through the crown cap.

I'm 69 years old and my first job was in a little cafe in my hometown of Sonoma California. It was owned by a couple named Carmella and Rocco Benedetto, not too Italian! We mixed the Coca Cola syrup with the soda, we cut our potatoes for the fries and got our meat for hamburgers from the butcher shop next door. We had REAL whipped cream. We had the marble top counter and the pull down lever to get soda, Coke and 7up. I still remember a couple who came in everyday and the gentleman always had a chocolate shake, thick with extra whipped cream on top and his wife had a banana split but instead of pineapple chunks on the vanilla ice cream she had caramel. I think their bill came to $4,50!! I was in a program at high school that was called work release where if you had a job you could get out of school to work and it counted toward credits to graduate. I was 16 and made $1.35 per hour AND I thought I was the shit!!! I remember thinking when I cashed my little check that this is what it's like to be a "grown up". Of course I really didn't have my bills to pay. It was fun and I learned a lot. Great memories.

Actually most of the combination syrup boxes with tanks are calibrated to deliver a much higher ratio of suds then you would get with hand mixing. Thus, resulting in a weaker flavored soda/cola.

When I was a kid in Massachusetts in the 1960s and '70s, we used to go to the drugstore soda counter for a prescription bottle of Coke syrup whenever we had a stomach bug. A spoon or two of the syrup would settle a "rumbly tumbly" and let you start getting food down.

Reminds me of the Lunchanetts that used to be in every corner of NYC, we would go in for a 2 cent soda and a pretzel, or an egg cream, they made burgers, sandwiches, and scooped ice cream from the tubs of ice cream and you bought cones , banana splits , 🍨 sundaes, or ice cream in the folded cardboard Chinese food containers pints or quarts . They were incredibly rude to me and my girlfriend one day when we went in for coffee, literally just blank stares and no service, we sat for probably 20 minutes until we got a waitress (they weren’t busy) then the waitress said we could get coffee at the bar, so we sat down, waited some more, then asked multiple different staff if we could get coffee and they kept just pointing to someone else. Strangest experience I’ve ever had in my life. As a New Yorker, I’ve been to tons of restaurants and never experienced anything like it. We went to get coffee at Matto down the street, they were packed with only one lovely Italian guy working, and he was kind, welcoming, friendly, and fast and the coffee and pastries were excellent. Highly recommend Matto.
