Hi Everyone! Thanks so much for being here. I had a great trip to NY last weekend for my son's 25th birthday and I was lucky enough to check out Goods for the Study! It was a beautiful stationery shop with some wonderful fountain pen and ink options! I picked up a new to me brand pen that I'm excited to share with you and a NEW Sailor! I'm in love! Nice....Studies have shown that surfaces made of *uncoated copper, brass or bronze* , begin neutralizing bacteria immediately, killing more than 99.9% within two hours...unfortunately this brass pen appears to be coated....so it doesn't apply with Germ Neutralizing properties. Last week : I dropped $110cad on the Kaweco Brass Pen (gift for the little misses) ...I wish I'd seen this *IWI Civilization fountain pen* video , earlier....I would of gotten this instead...but she likes her Kaweco brand..LOL . and what the misses 'likes' , she gets.. . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 5:46...I buy up ink cartridges on sale ( 30 cartridges for $11 ).... I use my ink syringe, and empty them up... put the ink in a couple of empty 80 ml recycled bottles ... relabel all the bottles with the brand ink names, color etc.. clean out all the cartridges, store empty cartridges for other pens ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 7:38...No Discount on that 40 ml bottle of ink ??!! I am shocked that you didn't get the discount on that ink ??!! I thought you were the Ytube Discount Diva ?? Ohh well, I'm sure next time, you'll not let that happen again..and you'll get that discount. 7:55...Nothing wrong with being in touch with your Resourceful HUNTER GATHERER Traits. (aka Prepper skills). I do the same....I always have my bag or pockets filled with items that I bought or found, to bring home...its a survival trait. LOL ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I’d love if you did a quick video on how you ultrasonic clean your pens, I’m fairly new to fountain pens and feel nervous how to clean them!

What a wonderful video, Lori! You showcased that new brass pen so well, I've never heard of that brand before! And I did the same thing with my first Herbin ink purchase; I bought Lie de The in a bottle and then accidentally bought cartridges of Larmes de Cassis, thinking it was a smaller bottle in the container too! But now Larmes de Cassis is one of my favorite colors to use, they are such wet inks! Glad you love your Every Rose--mine is still used weekly in my rotation, even a year later! A beautiful writer! Be prepared for lie de the to become your favourite brown. It behaves beautifully and the shading is stunning. I always have to have at least one pen inked with it and if I could only have one ink it would be Lie de the.

I got Every Rose Has Its Thorn as an anniversary gift in 2022 and it's my favorite sailor to write with, we definitely need different sailor finishes, like the Rose gold and ruthenium (like the Imperial Black, my other favorite sailor).

Such a fun video. I don’t have a Sailor yet, but am trying to decide which will be my first. Yours are gorgeous. I agree…I really love that milky look to the Sailor colors. I have the Lie de The, but I haven’t used it yet. I think I’ll ink it in one of my pens- maybe my Montegrappa copper-for May.

What a nice haul and beautiful pen! I recently got the Zyne Pink and the Winter Rain Sailor for my birthday. Prior to that I didn’t think I liked Sailor since I had a PGS with a bad nib. Even tuned it at a show and still didn’t like it. Now I’m a fan!

Hi! Love your videos! What a beautiful Sailor collection. I have the Adzukiiro ink and have always found it to be dry and so while it can make your nib seem fine, I would love to know your thoughts when you ink up your Thorn pen with a wetter ink? And the name of the ink always reminded me of Adzuki beans in Japanese mochi---that reddish brown bean! :)

I got a sample of the Kyo-no-oto Hisoku No.7 ink from a friend to go with the Platinum Wagner Holland LOP pen she gifted me for Christmas. The inks are lovely. The ink you bought, Adzukiito, is the color of the Adzuki bean aka Red Mung Bean. I find that swatch cards can be very misleading. I will always write the name of the ink with my Kakimori fine steel nib to get the truest representation of how the ink will appear, as I usually write with a fine nib. Enjoy your beautiful Sailor pen! The Pro Gear is a 21kt gold nib and the PGS is a 14kt gold nib which may explain the difference you feel in the writing feedback in addition to the different nib sizes.

I just bought a bottle of Lie de The and I'm loving it. I think its incredibly dry, so I'm using it in one of my wetter flow pens but it's beautiful.

Yes that every rose has its thorn is so pretty!!! Lovely dusty rose ink to pair with that!! And yes!! We agree that sailor medium is so thick compared to mf. I hate that they made a MF for those who don’t like too fine of a Fine or too broad of a medium, but yet the MF writes just like the Fine, lol. But yet, I still prefer the MF the most. I’ll need to get myself a Fine and EF sailor! Maybe my future every rose will be a Fine! I also love to pair white converters with my lighter colored milky sailors. It’s just so much more stealthy and pure looking XD I also hate seeing black shadows though my milky pens.

I enjoyed your video and thanks for showing your stationery haul. I have Kyo-no-oto ink, it is called red bean. The colour reminds me of the bean paste in the Taiyaki.

The lie de the ink was my first brown ink. I love it so much. I also have that zyne pink mini! It was a grail pen!

My Zyne is one of my favorite writers! I've been using it every night for my Daily pages in my Sterling Ink Planner. And I'm so happy that I stumbled upon lie de the! It's beautiful!

@Time with Tat Looks like Nice Successful Pen hunt I like that new brass IWI Civilization pen. 2:33 ...Your right ...I've never heard of this brand either...interesting. It is not selling on Amazon either... When I looked around other sites...I did find it and they are selling at $125 cad and higher. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Write up on this Pen is : Civilization is a complex society, characterized by urban development, and history is a novel of human evolution and intelligence. Throughout human history, relics and mythologies were created as a way for people to cope with their fear of mother nature, need to worship, or will to understand the universe. Therein lies the inspiration for IWI's Civilization fountain pen. The body and clip are made of brass, a material commonly used throughout human history. The hexagonal shape of the body and the engraving of a castle on the end of the pen symbolize the strength and wealth of past civilizations.
