When Checker Cabs went out of style is about the time NYC felt magical. Circa like 1965. About when the Beatles finished their second appearance at the Ed Sullivan Theatre. After that, NYC just started acting like a big dirty, overcrowded city on its way out. Sorry, just how I feel.

Thank you for sharing Kenneth. This is what a white Christmas should be ;-) There has never been a white Christmas in the Netherlands since 2010. They say it has to do with a changed climate, global warming. And before 2010, a white Christmas was also sporadic. A severe frost is also relatively rare anymore. In the Netherlands we also have a tradition of a so-called Eleven Cities Tour. This is a skating tour of 200 kilometers. Skating through a frozen canal and visiting 11 cities/villages. This tour has not been held since 1996.

In London (south of the UK) we rarely see any snow that can count as real snowfall anymore.. it's not Christmas without a white blanket of snow around Christmas time and making a snowman in the garden. I remember this when it snowed a week before Christmas back in 2020 and everyone hoped after a rough year we would at least have a white Christmas but those hopes were dashed when a giant rain storm came in the night before and washed away all the snow just to end the horrid year of 2020.

I need your suggestions on how to film while it's freezing. I film walking videos as well in Central Asia and it is usually warm in winter but it's so cold rn. I barely can film.

It’s more challenging for sure. You need to make sure your body is warm first. Often times I’m charging my electronics while they’re being used to keep them from shutting down.
