Following a screening of his film "Paterson," Adam Driver participated in a Q&A with producer Tova Laiter. Driver discussed his career from military to film. He talked to students about the importance of the collaboration and contribution of everyone involved -- including the director, cinematographer, and, set designer. He addressed the questions about preparation by stressing the importance of rehearsal, knowing your lines, and the lines of other actors’ in the scenes

One of the greatest actors of this generation. I 'believe' him in every role he plays. Even Kylo Ren: No one has ever played nuance in those films as Adam does. Such a complex character and Adam plays a broken, lost man with great mastery. He's the best thing in the new films.

He is so un-presumptuous. He never puts anybody down and never assumes that he knows it all. I really like that about him

I love how he carefully articulates everything he speaks in the most thoughtful and honest way possible... A very kind and humble guy and one of the greatest actors of this generation

I've said this before but Adam is a diamond in the rough. He is so incredibly well spoken and articulate. He is one of the few actors who's range just amazes me. He can be the scariest person or the coolest person in the room. I'd love to sit down with him and just discuss the universe or what he'll have for lunch. He is just so beautiful and brilliant and amazing, without even trying or knowing that he is.

Adam is such a talented actor of his generation. I like his diversity in the choice of his roles and films. This is his strength and I wish him to continue on this voice for his professional longevity! I also like his discretion on the personal level, his humility. Rare things in our world. I do not like the perfect beauty but rather the charisma of a person and what I like about Adam! I would like to see him again at the cinema in 2019 and of course in episode IX.

@@taniaorellana1 There are numerous interviews in different contexts where Adam refers to Juilliard as "school", so yeah I'd class it as him being modest lol

X'D the dog! Ofcourse! I loved this interview so much. It's so different when talk happens between people interested in the field (as opposed to it being for entertainment and promotional purposes). His energy completely shifts towards "being of service" and hopefully being helpful to those walking the path next (as people are helpful of him and his journey). It has indeed provided more insight on his focus, his attitude, his dedication, his work ethic and the humble side of his understanding how luck is a factor. Or how things applying to him may or may not at all apply to others. And then the honesty. Not having answers sometimes, not being sure about answers being helpful, being aware of overthinking. That in itself is comforting and reassuring and ..... :'D trust him to say he may not be reflecting much, when every other thing talks of just how much he does. But then again I can totally see how it may feel like it's not being self-reflective. Overthinking has that funny effect of feeling like we never (or barely ever) are doing enough of it. Like whe should be looking deeper or elsewhere (,too), while we're actually already miles and miles and miles and miles past what most people would even consider looking into. Last but not least: the translucent and very thin layer between his inner workings and his body language is forever fascinating. He's collected and restrained, yet his body - eloquently - chats on, seemingly unphased, within those given restrains.
