This man is the most genuine person I've ever seen in the film industry. He always tries to be honest even though you see how he protects his private life. He always tries to give meaningful answers even to the dumbest questions. And he's such a versatile actor despite his very unique and remarkable look. Adam Driver with beard or without beard. Adam Driver with short hair, longer hair, or long hair. These were the options, yet, you see Adam Sackler, Jude, Paterson, Clyde Logan, Garupe, Jamie, Flip Zimmerman, Toby, Charlie, Pale and even in one movie Kylo Ren and Ben Solo being so significantly different characters, you don't see Adam Driver as an actor. He disappears in front of your eyes and with some magic a new person is born. You only see the character. This man is a wonder.

So true, what you said..few actors can acomplish that of every time you watch them, you watch the character not the actor or the particular way of acting, because everytime is different and unique even with comedy skits or monologues. I can only think of 3 actors who do that, and one of them is Adam Driver for sure.

I love how he's so natural and often awkward in his interviews as if he finds it so difficult to talk about himself. He's so unassuming and yet he understands how to give his characters so many dimensions. He honors the process of acting and baring himself to the audience. Hope he has the opportunity to do lots of different and equally wonderful roles in the future. He's a breath of fresh air.

Dude is fascinating. I like how he prefers long Q&As rather than the standard three-minute junket stuff. He seems to enjoy talking at length about his craft and because of that we are given a lot more insight into the work of an actor and the time and energy that goes into the making of a film. Most actors don't seem to appreciate the process itself, whereas he seems very passionate about it. He gives a lot of thought to his answers rather than just blurting out the first thing that comes to mind. He wants to be understood on a deeper level than the average actor who instead runs their mouth on twitter or says provocative things for fear that it's the only way to remain relevant. Adam knows that he will be remembered and that his acting will be regarded as some of the best of all time. He's in it for the long haul.

The thing is, Adam's an incredibly talented actor, that's undisputable, BUT what we really love him for is his personality. There are a lot of talented actors out there, but none of them come even close to how easily Adam displays his true character, his honesty, his eloquence and insightfulness. This once again proves how starved our generation is for a raw, powerful presence; we seek that and when we find it in someone, we idolize them. I'm so sick and tired of fake celebrities, PC celebrities, big egos, and even bigger words coming out of their mounths, lacking any depth or meaning whatsoever. Adam is an exception and I hope he sets the precedent for the new, upcoming actors, to try and acquire at least a third of the qualities that this man posseses. It's not just the film industry; we need more peope like Adam Driver in this world!! I'm glad he's in the public eye, because a lot of us can learn from just hearing him speak his mind.

This is what's wrong with awards. You can't compare different wonderful performances. Even if they all played the same role, they would bring something different to them, and they're not playing the same role. What a person he is, really. He's struggling with things (like needing time to process, hello fellow introvert?) and yet he's searching his ways to be of service. And sometimes he gets comfortable enough to let out a lot of what's going on in that head (and heart), even though verbalising it can be really really hard. He wants to be there, he understands what this can be to people and yet he's also on that typical short social battery (at least from the bit I can tell). It's so very relatable. I catch myself thanking fate for securing him, even if I wished it wasn't quite that brutal. But then again, what is fate to do in the face of a very dedicated person who hadn't lernt to trace the currents yet and to let go in time. A lot to ask of someone prone to dedication, this young, and finally having settled into a place of connection (aka comradery). There was little else that could have lead to getting honorably discarged while remaining .... whole (for the lack of a better word). He had been held back to get trained and build a bridge at a later point in life. May fate mean well with him and his chosen family. And may he (they) be open enough to go with the currents of life on their own accord(s) in future, too.

Apparently, he was trying to speak sense into Kathleen Kennedy, when she decided to kill off Ben Solo. He and JJ wanted Ben Solo to live on for future projects. But she threw everything out the window, because she wanted Rey to be the next Skywalker. Doesn't make sense to me, as the real true last Skywalker was Ben. So even speaking about The Rise Of Skywalker makes me cringe when looking at her 'logic' *LOL*.

@@billiey36 According to the master himself :-P he always moves on from every character when done filming. I only recall him talking fondly of Kylo Ren and Ben Solo. But it makes sense, that 6 years having had the same role present in your mind makes you especially want to move on. I think he'd come back as Ben Solo with a good script and without KK. He was invited to the Skywalker Ranch in December last year for talks.

@@miriamfratianni645 Why would he want his character to live on when he was ready to move on to other things?
@miriamfratianni6453 жыл бұрын
@@billiey36 Because he was not a producer with final say but a contract actor. He always made it a point, that he's all about the story: he will step in when he feels, the story and his character drift apart - which he is said to have done in case of Ben Solo/Kylo Ren. He's noted as not having been too happy about the ending of his character, because to him Ben's death didn't make sense in the context of the whole trilogy. So, if this is what went down, he loved this character enough to step in for the sake of the whole movie story. But according to him that's where in general it ends for him. It's just how he functions, I feel. For Adam letting go doesn't mean, he's out for future projects. It's just that he moves on. Until the next project comes that appeals to him. And if it's a Ben Solo project he is asked to reprise, the writing is on par, he's in again.

These interviews ask the same questions and I’ve seen Adam give the exact same answers. “What was your start in action” “My grandfather recorded tapes” “How was the transition from military to acting?” “I thought civilian problems would be easier but their not”

how did he not know Laura, they were in the same star wars movie!

I suppose that the reason could be that they haven't scenes together. You know - when Kylo Ren or Ben Solo met vice-admiral Amelyn Holdo? They don't have any meetings from TFA to TROS. How long Ben Solo or Kylo Ren was on screen, he didn't have many scenes with Resistance members. You know, without his father (Han Solo), Poe Dameron, Rey or Finn. So, I think that Adam and Laura don't meet often each other. And don't blame them - they were doing what they must to, so they were working with their scene partners.

You know - it is something like "you have been studying in school, you finished her and many, many years later you meet someone who also was studying in your school, but you never remembered yourselves because you have different friends". I think it is something like that.

@@agnieszkaklimek6182 Since they didn't have any scenes together, they wouldn't have been on the set at the same time so they wouldn't have met at work.

you could tell he was getting a little tired of this. “I woke up. A bit the shit out of something. I feel really good.” - I like that he’s just a guy - who acts.

That woman doesn't realize that Adam Driver is a happily married man with a small child and also very active with his wife in a charity which does performance arts for the military. They both seem mature and purpose driven. I can't imagine that Adam Driver has much in common with his costars on " Girls."

You know that about them for sure, right? Don't be projecting something that you don't know about personally. He's in the major leagues in Hollywood surrounded by beautiful, talented people. You think he hasn't flirted or had attraction to some of them? Please. He's still a man and he's no saint. You don't know what's really going on with his personal life. He's not one to spread those details around. But people love to assume and judge from appearances and interviews.

K Guerr1 Evidently, from your aggressive answer, you must think that you know more about them . I am deducing their values and ethics, not only from their interviews, but actual facts about their lives . Adam Driver considers his greatest accomplishment, as being a Marine. He worked hauling loads in a warehouse before Juilliard , and did other menial jobs while attending Juilliard . Why would this couple buy a farm in an undisclosed area of Upstate New York ( most likely in Leatherstocking Region of New York State, where he had traveled to do an independent film some years ago ) , if the couple liked the glamour and the spotlight ? They seem to be following in the escape to rural farm community life of Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, many, many years ago . The couple stated that they wanted privacy in their home life, marriage, and family. A couple doesn’t normally buy an old farm in a small section of Upstate New York (because it reminds Adam Driver of where he was raised in a small country town) , if you enjoy participating in Hollywood high life . They kept the birth of their son a secret , until it was leaked out, almost four years after his birth . The couple are more frequently seen on videos together, doing their charity for Armed Forces at domestic bases and overseas bases, including those in the Middle East, and at military hospitals, than they are filmed together at any movie premieres or awards shows .
