NYPD Emergency Service Unit 2016 Ford Police Interceptor Utility car responding with rumbler siren and lights in New York City, NY
New York City Police Department (NYPD) Emergency Service Unit (ESU) provide Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) for the city of New York as well as technical rescue capabilities.
This vehicle was brand new when filmed, and is rarer than the Radio Emergency Patrol (REP) Ford F-550s most commonly seen with the ESU.

So what made the police rumble siren become a thing? I’ve only seen in videos of New York. We don’t have it yet in Phoenix, AZ

It's easier to get the attention of drivers because they can actually feel the low frequencies of the siren.

Thats a Ford Police Interceptor Used By Regular NYPD Police thats not ESU It will Say Emergency Service If it was ESU
