This program is made by an Englishman and the correct spelling is "colouring" as it is also spelt this way in Australia where I live. In the US and Canada, it is spelt "coloring".

Our pencil sharpeners always broke the graphite core before the pencil was sharp, so's not to waste so much pencil, my dad taught me to how to sharpen a pencil with a pocket knife. Couldn't take knife to school tho, so I had to take several pre-sharpened pencils.

Reading through the comments its mostly the 'waste' of all the colored pencils to make something that doesn't work. Mainly just ecological people who post a dislike because he doesn't believe in thier beliefs when this is a fun video. It's his time and his money used to make something he wants that most people enjoy watching from the like button. Edit: I was corrected. It does work. I was half asleep watching. Thank you!🙂

I was just watching another woodturner and had an idea for you. Are you familiar with yarn bowls? It's a big bowl to keep your yarn ball in while knitting, to keep it from rolling across the floor. Generally just a rounded bowl with a notch cut into the side for the yarn to come out. You can google it to get the idea. Anyway, what if you embedded a knitted jumper into clear resin to make a yarn bowl out of yarn? I think if the jumper was acrylic yarn, once it was in resin, it would probably turn pretty well.

speaking of cross-pollenation, I just saw a video yesterday where a cashmere scarf was used as granulate, and it worked out amazing with a grippy yet soft feel surface... But my personal take on your idea, would be turning a mould with 2 inside and 2 outside pieces to allow the following: first the smallest outside diameter and largest inside diameter to cast the tricot into clear resin, then the two largest diameters to add a coloured layer to the outside, then the smallest inside diameter to add a clear layer to the inside to make the tricot suspended in the middle of the resin.

I recommend BobbyDukeArts. He just made a bucket made of wood with coloured pencils splashing out of it and then he mounted it on the wall and it fell and broke. He is so amazing and funny and has done so many cool things.

Nick, first things first. Your video where you dressed up the Greatest Showman was excellent and very entertaining. The wishing machine looked like a cool project and the spirit behind it was spectacular. I'm old enough to remember the night lights that were created to spin from the heat of a candle or a light bulb 💡. The top had a multi bladed device that converted the heat into the energy that spun the cylinder. Well done.

@@kitnmom That would actually make it look better. Clear resin and bleeding jawbreakers. Like a funky psychedelic look.. Especially for a lamp. But I doubt it would bleed much if at all since the resin is thicker than water.

To reduce the cost you could have used a plain wood core to fill out the centre and use substantially less pencils. Other than that a jolly project.

Id love to see a colour only creation. No one has done a coloured-only sculpture. By colour only I mean only the colour inside, taking the wood off. I think it would be much more colourful and pretty :)
