Greetings from Colorful Colorado, A Still in The Appalachian Mountains? No such Thing! Pure Fantasy! Bill. your layout has truly inspired me to build a still in the Rockies. After finishing it, I might model the Still on my layout. Like FredE wrote, you are "A true master craftsman."

Nice work Bill. I’m well appreciative of your concept/theme of view blocks and view directional guidance. Smaller well done layouts create an opportunity to do just that… create. Mine is deep woods logging on an 8’ x 4’6” plan and work hard on maintaining a vision of what the natural terrain would have been when it was virgin forest. Thanks for showcasing your workmanship and your vision with us.

One of my best times watching your videos as you progressed. I am in o scale but with the big guys and got interested in th On30 stuff hoping I could consolidate sometime in the future. Really want to do a logging theme badly. I guess I will have to make up my mind sooner than later. Thanks for the great show. SUPER job

Bill, your O scale layout is absolutely beautiful. I mean really, really well done. It amazes me how quickly it went together, especially given the high level of quality and attention to detail you gave it. I’ve got to know - what’s next?

Let’s face it. Bill’s idea of another foot of space means another foot of 🌲 🌳 🌲

Absolutely the Best layout I have ever seen- this has been the most enjoyable series of videos of all the many various channels I follow- Thank you Bill for sharing this with a 76 year old former model train man- You are one of the Best if not the Best With your detail. Luv your abilities!!!!!

You did a really good job on this layout. If I may make a suggestion to improve the bridge at the cliff face past the cabin. Get some straight limbs that will pass as logs. Split and notch those lengthwise so you can fit those to cap off the exposed plywood deck. It will then look like big logs laid horizontal on both ends of the bridge.

Very well done Bill. As for grades and transitions on the narrow gauge logging line they would have been rough and irregular in real life. Cheers and thanks for the excellent build videos. Peter from Melbourne, Australia. PS agree with someone’s comment about some log abutments for the narrow gauge trestle, if it bugs you. 😊

Bill, I have always liked the HO layout with its old multi-building factory complex and the scenic vistas of the N scale layout, but this one is truly your masterpiece. The combination of standard and narrow guage, the rockwork and trees, and the structures and details all work together to create a truly rich landscape. Absolutely superb!

Did you ever consider that if you extended the layout by another two feet, you’d also have to build another 500 trees! 😂 Well done Bill! Yours is one of the few channels where I have watched every one of the build videos, the other being Sampson Boat Company.

Looks awesome! Do you have pictures of the track plan in any of your videos? How many months/years did it take you to build it and roughly how many hours a week did you work on it? Thanks...
