Because climate change is not real. Because earth is flat and water will just pour to the sides if the water rise too high. God had intented that way for water to rise higher and in 2069 it will flow over the edge. Water just does not come out of nowhere to rise more and more, its god tear building up. Thats why the ocean water is salty.

climate change is a gradual change in the weather patterns of our planet. the changing seasons are not climate change. the worlds carbon emissions and waste have literally been changing the quality of the air we breathe (that isn't climate change i just wanted to make an example of how what we do on this earth can have a huge impact on the lives we, and future generations live)

@@richardwind2859 carbon dioxide is in itself a greenhouse gas. it traps heat inside of the atmosphere by reacting with infrared waves (from the sun) and keeping the climate warm (like a greenhouse). the CO2 we breate out is nothing compared to the tons of gasses released by things like factories, transportation, fossil fuels etc.

@@JacobSnell1998 Because if he believes what he is saying, then he would know Martha's Vineyard is only 311 feet above sea level at it's highest point. The value of the beaches and everything else would be destroyed. You would have to be one of the biggest idiots to invest there if you believe what Obama is saying. So why did he invest there? Insurance couldn't even bail out that many rich people. He isn't putting his money where his mouth is that is for sure!

@@truthseeker3909 100 companies are responsible for 71% of global emissions as of 2017 and since 1988. Fossil fuel companies and governments are the ones causing this crisis - not individuals. Barack Obama owning an island home is not going to be the thing that will flood the coastal cities of the world like Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, and Alexandria. That's the whole point -- they are either too cowardly, or they don't believe in their cause enough to do so. So which one are they, cowards or unbelievers? And, just me to you, not only are China's emissions largely in support of American consumption, they also emit far, far less per capita than us. Yes, Chinese coal is a problem that we need to solve, but it doesn't absolve us of responsibility.

Melaine Ciotti I'm not sure about Russia, but China is doing a lot on their own. They have their own emission goals, they are a top producer and user of solar technology, electric cars are a very big thing there. Unlike in the US, the people there share a sense of responsibility and obligation to their society. Once a goal is identified they willingly work to accomplish it. As the world economy shifts, India and Russia will have no choice but to adapt to prevalent technologies.

Teach the younger generation to hang out laundry outside to dry. Recycle items, don't follow trends every season to replace perfectly good items, stop using plastic bags, containers, buy products packaged in recycled material. So many old fashioned ways that stop the wastage.grow your own food even on a balcony, or in containers, don't use chemical pesticides use organic methods. Have a small flock of chickens and use poop for compost. Add egg shells, coffee grounds, tea bags, vegetable peels to compost. Learn to bake and cook your own food and you won't waste gas driving to restaurant or fast food joint everyday. Wear less make up and be natural beauty.

Teach the younger generation to think critically about subjects. To pay attention to details in scientific methodologies and to think about raw data and observations from as many angles as possible. Don't censor scientific studies and dissenting evidence. That would be more useful.

What can people do to slow climate change? They should change from consumerism to minimalism. It takes energy and materials to produce and deliver things we do not need. It is a lifestyle change to only buying things you need. Save wasted gas in mowing by replacing grass with a garden that produces food. Individuals should adopt a lifestyle that conserves energy and money. I see people driving their car to the mailbox. They should walk. There are all kinds of things we could do, if we adopt a minimalist lifestyle.
