It definitely didn't make him feel any better after that)). The psychological trauma is too great (not to mention the physical ones). A real psychologist is needed here and much earlier. Especially in this case. Although it would be interesting to see how Qui-Gon would talk to him with a different approach than Yoda and Obi-Wan. Because he considered Anakin and Vader to be different personalities of the same person.

That order was really bad and made others unhappy. It's sad that Kenobi does not understand that the younglings could have a more terrible fate. Especially while Sidious is in power. They could have been killed by stormtroopers during the attack on the temple. They could have been victims of someone scarier than the dark lord. Vader did well not to say that those children could have been taken by the Imperials and raised as military or inquisitors. Which is both bad since everyone would be Palpatine's puppets. The ghost of Qui-Gon (or his voice) was clearly missing from this company able to understand others and talk to them on equal terms in a completely different way than Yoda and Obi-Wan.
