I totally agree with Tommy's sentiment: I want to _ALWAYS_ see more Ewen and I _DEFINITELY_ want to see more of little Leia, but I don't want/need to see them together again. I just would absolutely love to see more of each of their respective journeys.

If they do a season 2, it will probably focus on building the foundations of Luke’s relationship with Obi Wan into what it is in ANH. This season focused on Leah. Next one should focus on Luke. Seems like the obvious route to go.

I think the fact that Kenobi showed mercy to 'defeat his enemy' was his last lesson to what little remained of his former padawan. Which ultimately happens in this duel and vs Luke in ROTJ. That could then point towards this being another reason as to why Vader says obi wan was right? I dno, im spit ballin.

Right - if you recall just one episode prior - Anakin was directly told about his obsession with winning and ending the fight, and OWK walking away again points it right out to him. Now to me personally, I feel that he left him there because simply put, he got his bad news that Anakin was really dead, and that he just couldn't tolerate facing this broken corpse of a person. Remember that his guard immediately dropped when he saw a human face there.

Haha i think redlettermedias answer to this was way better. What began as a vague vision in empire to inspire Luke..became a goofy ghost sitting on a log in Jedi vomiting expostion, and then Last Jedi suddenly let them use powers and be insanely OP and it's just become a joke now hahah

I would like to think that obi-wan was overwhelmed with grief at the moment he accepted that Ani was dead and that is why he walked away. Sorry if this is a repeat of others but I just wanted to share.

Clone wars made me realise it was losing Ashoka that really helped turn Anakin to the dark side (slaughtering the tuskins was the start obviously) but I truly think it was when Ashoka left that he stopped fighting his anger then chopping mace was the middle and then him thinking Padmae betrayed him truly finished him off plus palpatine played his hand brilliantly but the one thing about the clone wars is it makes me look at the Jedi council like they are all so dumb they literally got told about the chips in the head and found out Doku was teranus how on earth did they not clock that was a set up from the beginning they are supposed to be the detectives of that universe it makes no sense to me they shouldn’t of done those episodes with (fives)

I think the reason Obi-Wan let Darth live is because he's still his "brother" Even though Darth said "I killed Anakin." Obi-Wan still saw his face. It reminded me of when Ahosoka and Darth Vader met again. "Anakin..." "Ahsoka." "I'm not going to leave you again." "Then you will die!" It's the total opposite of how Obi-Wan left him. Ahsoka stayed.

Force ghost may be wisdom manifesting as the Jedi one wishes to speak to. Luke needed answers about Vader which Obi-Wan can answer and he appeared, Obi-Wan wanted to see Qui Gon again and he appeared. So a force ghost might not be a ghost at all but just an image a Jedi wants to see.

The fact that you two kept this conversation on the rails with those kids clearly having a Roman gladiator Battle Royale in the background, is just master class! Chefs kiss. Lol. Completely agree with you both that him just leaving him there felt unrealistic with all that he had done and could still do. It would have made more sense if he sense Luke potentially in danger at the conclusion of duel. Said goodbye and left. With Vader being so badly damaged and with Obi-Wan's connection to The Force strengthen, it is plausible he could hide the fact of Luke from Vader as he left.

As much as I'm sure Obi-wan could kill Vader, he just can't emotionally go through with it, as much as he knows he probably should he just couldn't bring himself to kill someone he care(s/d) for, despite everything he's done. I'm certain getting the painful catharsis of Vader "killing" Anakin didn't help keep him emotionally stable to do what needed to be done but it was what he needed to move beyond his past and let the future play out

Obi-Wan's hair turned white because Qui-Gon made Obi-wan train with a krait dragon allergic to sand mites. He was almost not fast enough to dodge out of the way of one of the sneezes.

It works like it needs to work in the story. Lucas was borrowing from Gothic romances and Hamlet as much as he was Campbell when he put Obi-Wan's force ghost in there. It was a storytelling device letting us know that the Force was more than just stuff in the "real world" like TK, running really super fast, visions, et. al. It has a mystery to it. So how it works and why is secondary to what part of the story it serves; and in my mind not a close second.

I think Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon will start the search for lost Jedi artifacts that Luke continues after Return of the Jedi Also a dark future timeline would be cool, where Darth Vader finds out he has a daughter and a son, when they are 10-12 years old,kidnaps them, turns them to the Darkside and uses them to kill the emperor. Obi-Wan has to use the hall of mirrors to reset time.

I agree on the part why didn't obi-wan kill Vader but it also makes me wonder why he didn't in revenge of the sith. He wouldn't have needed to walk down the hill to finish him off. He could have easily lifted him with the force and tossed him in the lava. If nothing else to end his suffering. Plus I'm still confused on how Anakin becomes a force ghost when clearly they need training to do so and he just happens to do it with none. I can only imagine it's because he was the supposed chosen one , thoughts ?

Obi-Wan didn't kill vader in that moment because Obi-Wan is a Jedi. Vader was beaten and no longer a threat to him. Jedi don't kill unless there's no choice. Not sure why there's confusion or uncertainty. The reasoning seemed fairly obvious.

I totally agree! Also, even if Obi-Wan was able to capture Vader, he couldn’t turn him in to answer for his crimes. And with Jedi being persecuted, it was best for Obi-Wan to get his closure and run.

Sith philosophy is the perpetuation and amplification of personal ambition, passions, and power. Plenty of Sith extend their lives or cheat death, but always in an egocentric way-- not by rejoining the lifestream and becoming part of nature and bereft of self.
