Part two of the 1996 Chevrolet Silverado C1500 Step side GMT400 project where I focus on removing the factory wiring harness from the truck as well as removing the harness from the Engine and Transmission that we are using in our swap. These two wiring harnesses will eventually be simplified and combined in order to make out new harness which will power and run the engine itself as well as retain all of the factory gauges and AC controls as well as the cruise control and the transmission park, neutral safety switch. I was able to successfully remove the range selector plug on the 4l60e transmission using a hair dryer to heat up and soften the glue used by GM to weatherproof the plugs.
Pretty boring video honestly, but it’s a step in the process that needs to be done and I might as well document it.
