Rafael has been diagnosed with OCD and high functioning Autism. He has been working on his ocd for over two years now and you can definitely see a marked change in his anxiety and behavior. He has more control over his anxiety and has less of a meltdown when he is experiencing an OCD moment. A lot of people asked me to do an update on how his OCD is now, so I made this video to show you how he reacts to anxiety from OCD. Currently, he is doing great! A year ago, if any of these things would have happened, he would have had an uncontrollable meltdown. OCD is short for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Exposure therapy is the treatment we use for Rafael's OCD. FoolyLiving - Our Story
Andrea used to live in Florida, until she met Hadar on World of Warcraft. We met for the first time in Israel, but got married in America. Andrea moved to Israel and has been there ever since. We miscarried a baby at 4 months, shortly after we were married. Rafael was born November 2012. Baby Abigail was born July 2016. Both were born in Israel. We film our life every day to show Andrea's family members back in Florida. Andrea also has an adult son, named Zebulin who lives and works in America. Hadar is a soldier in the Air Force in Israel. Our family is trying to make the life changing move to America right now.
We are a fun loving and happy family. We are not fake family vloggers. You will never see us being fake. Views are not as important to us as our integrity. Many of our family and real life friends watch our videos. You can be assured that what you are seeing is 100% truth and reality. You will not only see the best of us, but the worst of us as well. We all have a story to tell and it's not always pretty. For us, it will always be real. I do not make videos just for you. These are my family's memories. There would be no point in making videos if it weren't the truth. We are transparent and honest with everything. Please remember, when leaving a comment, that we are not characters on a tv show. We are real people.
About our son: Rafael was diagnosed with OCD and High Functioning Autism, also known as Asperger's syndrome, on the Autism spectrum (ASD). Our daughter will be evaluated for autism as well. We have a few videos of Rafael so you can understand his diagnosis better:

@@Jack-mh2vn I don't think the mom does either. Kinda think she self diagnosed her kid and is now furthering everyone very wrong idea about what ocd is. We already got people claiming they have ocd because they practice good heigine. Now we gonna have people claiming they ocd because they get angry. Not cool. I'm not saying he doesn't have ocd but this is not even close to a symptom. And doctors don't just throw that diagnosis around. This kid was supposedly diagnosed at 3 and by the time he was making videos he was already handling his symptoms sooo well. It's because they aren't symtoms of ocd. He would be panicking that something really bad is going to happen. Not getting angry and then getting over it just because his mom said it was fine.

@@lc4life369 Rafael was diagnosed in Israel at the age of three, with OCD and ASD, by a neurologist. Every year after that, he has had a re-diagnosis that is the same. ASD and OCD. He works on it everyday. He was not self-diagnosed, he saw doctors and is going to a therapist. He turned 9 years old today and still has OCD and ASD and will likely always struggle with it, but he knows how to cope with not finishing a ritual now. Not all people with ASD are alike, and not all people with OCD are alike.

It’s crazy how so many behaviours that were just considered ‘bad attitude’ or ‘bad temperament’ seem to be symptoms of psychological distress/disorder. I often see adults respond to kids like this by matching their volume etc. it’s crazy to me because all it does is normalise the behaviour to children and teaches them that that is an ok way to manage interpersonal relationships. I love the “you can fix this” script. So empowering and reassuring.

@@ponggaaa4854 most 3 year olds would not for the most part, unless their day was really bad and it was just a thing that broke the camel's back. When it comes to ocd, a lot of it is like "(Thing) has to be (desired outcome) or else it's bad!!" Think of it like when you're having a bad day and everything is going wrong and you're just like "Can't anything be right?!!" But on an everyday basis and for no reason whatsoever. People with OCD are already trying to alleviate their anxiety that everything isn't going to be perfect. While discipline is needed to teach and allow the child to cope in healthy ways, from what your comment is insinuating, harsher discipline will actually do more harm than good and will often push them to develop worse coping habits

i don't have OCD, but i do have ADHD and probably autism (not officially diagnosed.) i can see myself in these videos sometimes. i can be a bit of a perfectionist, and if someone tries to "help" in a way that messes with the exact steps I had in my head, I can't handle it. it's like i was carefully arranging dominos and someone came and knocked it over before i was done. a few months back, i came back from my break at work to find two members of management had took over my job while i was gone. i lost it, it felt like i was suddenly miles behind where i was supposed to be and i spent the rest of my shift sobbing while i did my work.

as someone with OCD who deals primarily with ordering/patterns/lists (AKA “perfectionism”), I relate to this except instead of sobbing i freeze and/or dissociate because the work i’m doing now feels pointless, almost as if I’m starting from square one. i understand the devastation though as it often really does feel like something is wrong. at my job i have a physical checklist, and when people do things out of order (“didn’t have time” to do things on start of list) it drives me insane.

Most people have some degree of ocd/anxiety. A lot of mental health diagnoses are on a spectrum.

@@elleendeavor6429 That's not how this works, you either have OCD or you don't. Like 2% of the population has it, and it's an anxiety based disorder.

I've had OCD as long as I can remember (didn't get diagnosed till a few years ago) and I can tell you, when something or someone triggers it, or prevents you from doing a compulsion, it's HARD. The pain your brain makes you feel is worse then almost any physical pain. So I just wanted to say, this kid is AMAZING at keeping his composure. You can tell he's in pain, but he knows it's not his sister's fault and knows that he can overcome the temporary yet intense anxiety this disorder causes. And at such a young age too! This almost brings tears to my eyes.

@@JohnWick03 it’s tough to live with. Both conditions make each other’s symptoms feel worse. It’s like 2 pilots. ADHD is pilot 1 and OCD is pilot 2. Which ever one is flying the plane is the one that I’m experiencing that day.
