Seven seals with different entanglements show the different sorts of rubbish in our oceans. Seal number 3 is lucky to have made it to the beach. Dragging such a heavy net around its neck gave the baby seal no chance of making it. He could barely move. Weighing more than a wet rescue net, the net would’ve eventually killed the baby seal. Once again, our Leatherman Raptors had no problem cutting through the entanglement. 🦭

@@fefferryerr1818 If the deflection you refer to is your own, you're right. I'm not the one who criticized. Since you're the critical one, I assume you got your base covered and are doing your part. So what is it you're doing? Rescuing seals isn't a part of my life, at all. But I highly respect anyone who shows compassion like this...anywhere. And criticizing them seems kinda tone-deaf.

I find the man that has conversations with his “ patients “ attempting to calm them, has such empathy for the seals, particularly the little ones. You are all wonderful in what you do.

I admire people who rescue animals. This is the way to exemplify the Golden Rule to its fullest. Most people claim to be against animal cruelty, yet their everyday actions don't align with their claims. If you want to walk your talk, then be vegan. Veganism is a moral stand against animal exploitation and cruelty for selfish pleasure or profit and includes reverence for life. Being vegan offers the best opportunity to develop one's empathy to the fullest. Empathy is something we should all be working hard to develop, seeing that it has nearly gone extinct in our species.

You saved so many lives that morning. I remember a previous video where Naude and Dylan found a dead pup strangled from dragging big heavy netting. The pup in this video was exhausted and you got to him in time, thank goodness. Thank you OCN, amazing rescues!!

I seen that one. The one where two pups were connected and the one was dead, but they saved the other one. Just heartbreaking, I cried over that. I even had to stop watching these videos for awhile. I can't handle children, animals being tortured, suffering.

That foggy morning turned out to be a very lucky morning for these 7 seals, especially for seal #3 dragging that big, wet net. It's a miracle that the poor pup succeeded getting out of the water. Thanks guys, great job!❤️🦭

That kindergarten group of pups seemed to have brought every kind of entanglement for “show and tell”. They show their entanglements to our heroes and get to live to tell their stories of how their lives were saved Well done gentlemen!

Wow! This is the most intense episode I’ve seen. You untangled 7 seals in a single run, and most of those were severe entanglements. Great work. I’m sure this is never an easy task, but you all do make it look easy. Your just good at what you do. Thank you for your service to wildlife and people!

We are unfortunately not solving the problem, but only treating the symptoms of the plastic crisis with our rescues. The goal of these videos is to show the consequences of this pollution and create a change to tackle its roots - namely our addiction to single-use plastics, the lack of law enforcement at sea, and the shortcomings of the recycling industry.

Loved each and every rescue, especially the baby who could hardly walk with that enormous and heavy rope entanglement. After the rescue the pup was joyfully running to the water! Doesn't get better than that! Many thanks to OCN.❤❤❤

Gosh, guys, you did so well making a lot of rescues in one go, fishing lines, a piece of clothing or something? and that horrible, heavy net, that that poor little seal was dragging around with him. I bet he feels a real difference now, also that other little seal with the plastic strap cutting into him, that must have been so painful and horrible for you to see. Well done, guys, that was a brilliant job and all these seals that you've rescued in one session, they will all feel so much better now, it's a great achievement. 👍😊
