A selection of VIA Rail "Ocean" trains in the winter. This video features several VIA trains (with the stainless steel consists) in and around the Halifax, Nova Scotia area in winter. The last portion of the video also features a CN GP9 leading the "Ocean" out of Halifax, as seen in the thumbnail for this video.
This video was uploaded by Steve Boyko after David's death, on the request of David's widow Pat. She wants to share David's work with everyone. This video was part of the OBE video "Canadian Trains from the Atlantic to the Pacific Volume 1". Apologies for any errors or omissions in the captions.
This video was recorded using a tripod-mounted camcorder on VHS videotape and then digitized, so the quality is not as good as David's later work.
