Oceanview Pier, Norfolk Virginia. Pier fishing with live eel for Cobia

In this video the wife and I try are hand a Cobia fishing but don't have much luck. We spent the rest of the day just fishing for anything that will bite while using blood worms, shrimp, and minnows. This was our first time fishing this lier and easily is one of the nicest we have been to yet. If your in Norfolk, Virginia and are looking for a good time make sure you stop by the Oceanview Pier. The Pier was very clean and it is a very Family friendly environment.

thanks for the video..hope you had fun with your vacation. This pier gets really busy in august and the ending of the year. The sea bass get 3 to 4 times the size you caught!!

You guys should come back to Va and go to Buckroe Beach and fish the pier some great Cobia action there.

I go fishing here all the time hands down best pier out there i also love the restaurants loaded nachos after a few beers lol

Hey man I’m actually moving to Norfolk in July and I recently picked up fishing so I’m trying to find spots to learn and fish and this pier is about 5-8 mins away from me!

@@tootrillhtx07130 go literally anywhere. Fish are everywhere here. Im visiting. Have caught at least a hundred fish in about a month. Fish around bridges or jettys. Don't have to throw right on them but anywhere around that and YOU WILL catch fish. Squid, shrimp, chunk of cut bait if you have a medium action+ with a size 3000+ reel and some thicker line.preferably live fresh caught smaller fish. You can hook big striper, red drum, cow nose ray, trout,cobia etc. I've hooked up to about 7 rays in a months time hardly even trying to catch them. I pray you'll catch some good fish 🐟 🙏 have fun.
