Octatrack jam - Coffee Break

I recorded these stems with Reaper using the following plugins: Cableguys Shaperbox 3 (I just tried the trial version and damn it is good!), UAD LA-2A, UAD Neve preamp and some plugins that I made myself.
I see there's an appetite for some workflow videos and other such content. I'm going to plan out how I can do that without seeming like every other KZfaq producer. I'm sure I'll get into the groove of things in time.
Give me a like and subscribe if you enjoy this stuff - I post a new jam every week and I don't want to feel like I'm posting into a blackhole!
Note: This video didn't seem to be doing so well compared to others so I gave it a change in title and thumbnail to see if that has an effect. Apologies if you feel tricked, I didn't mean to trick you, I just wanted to trick the KZfaq algorithm...

@@tinygregmusic it’s an amazing piece of gear. I started with an MPC XL and it broke 😑 and now I’m down to BeatMaker3 on an iPad mini lol. Times are hard but I’m still grinding these beats out. Very nice (again) ! Are the drums from the OT or also pre-produced stems from Reaper? And what is "added" on the OT - just muting/unmuting of the stems and real-time FX or more?

Thanks for the kind words! Regarding drums, it varies from track to track. In this one I actually have a mix of OT programmed drums and stems put together in Reaper (I very often have multiple drum kits playing at the same time). I also use the OT to fire off one-shots, and also chop up the stems to try and prevent too much repetition. I do tend to lean towards using the OT as a stem performance box, but I guess that's just me slowly trying to escape the DAW 😅

No templates really, I make every track from scratch. This does eat up my time though so I'm thinking about setting aside some time to put some templates together! I'll do a video on it if I get around to it! 😊

Thanks man, the drum sounds are from Cymatics. I can't remember which pack exactly though most likely one of the hip hop ones.
