2:35 : "No rain tonight, this is Canada Dry". Incredibly underrated comment, at least for Canadians. Good job CBS! :)

Why would any Phillies fan torture themselves by watching this? Long time fans got a taste of deja vu in games 3 and 4 of the NLCS this year.

I think it's very telling that this video has no postgame coverage. I believe all the other games of the series posted by this user have full postgame and even a local news report after that. I can understand why a Philly area baseball fan wanted no part of the Blue Jays locker room celebration on his tape though.

+billny33 yeah, I wish he'd left on the little video they played at the end with Billy Joel's "Famous Last Words" song. That was a nice video celebrating both teams.
@TMC1982Part28 жыл бұрын
+billny33 I'm guessing that the closing credits (this by the way, was CBS' final Major League Baseball telecast to date) were omitted out of fear of the copyright police ordering the audio to be silenced (if the video isn't removed altogether) since CBS used not only Billy Joel's "Famous Last Words" but Bob Seger's "The Famous Final Scene".

As a Blue Jays fan, this reminds me of the ending of the movie Rudy that came out before this happened. I have to admit, Jays fans did their Jon Favreau impression shouting "WHO'S THE WILD MAN NOW?!!!" after Joe Carter's home run.

Nitpicking here, but.. Watching the bottom of the 9th inning.. HORRIBLE CAMERA WORK when White and Molitor were batting! They kept focusing on the possible pickoff, and then panned to the main camera when the pitch is already halfway to the plate! LET US WATCH THE ACTUAL PITCH! lol

Shit that’s why the Braves never won more than they were obligated to. If Mariano Rivera was a Brave they’d have won at minimum 3 more titles.

As a Philadelphia fan this was far from the worst moment, that Phillies team was a lightning and a bottle year, yes it was great to watch. I was just really surprised and happy they got that far, but the Toronto Blue Jays were the better team in that 93 World Series, it's just that simple. Just like in 2008 when the Phillies won the World Series they were the much superior team than the Tampa Bay Rays. It's just the way it goes
