I just started and it is really not too bad. I actually enjoy coming to work and get along well with the two ladies I am next to. Today will be my third day, the worse thing is you get sore when you wake up. Considering other jobs out there, I am very happy to be an Amazon employee and you can always try something else if you are not happy where you are at.

Question: How do you know what size box to use each time? Or is the box already picked out for each order and you just pack them? Just curious 🤓

@@AAAMANDA yes there’s a com screen that shows what the order is and what box to use, it is not always correct so if it’s too small u have to pick a box that will fit correctly. It’s so repetitive that you will memorize all the sizes and where they are in your station very quickly.

I had a huge box for two smaller items, so far I have run across a few situations where the recommended box was unable to fit everything, then you have to figure out a deeper or bigger box to use. The boxes are numbered, and the smaller boxes have lower numbers than the big. Typically, you can try the next box size up and it will work like 75% of the time. The worst is when you cannot find items you are supposed to pack.

@@patience3120 it’s pretty chill. I’ve already been trained in 3 positions. Great pay and benefits. I also like having 4 days off. The work isn’t hard, but the days are long and it can get monotonous. Overall I would recommend it if you like that sort of work!

@@Janvashtv singles are just you packing one item at a time, instead of packing multiple items into boxes. I’m mainly in smart pack right now, which is where you put one item at a time into a big machine that seals the bag for you! Gotta be fast and have rhythm to do it though

Well it's Amazon's machine learning tech I think. Sometimes the items would be too small or big for the box, so we need to upgrade box to the next size up. BTW it's not that bad
