Oddly Super Satisfying and Relaxing Horse Brushing

Enjoy this super satisfying video of Penny, one of my Belgian Draft mares, getting a good brushing! Turn on the sound for relaxing horse and brushing sounds. Penny is 6 feet high at withers (tall part of back) and in her mid to late 20s.
As you can see from the video she really enjoyed the attention!

EDIT: For those who are commenting about her weight, please note, Penny is under vet supervisor and receiving the best care. The vet said she is healthy but simply breed to have huge prominent hips. Just like people, horses come in all shapes and sizes. UTD on vaccines & dental. She get the proper amount of senior feed in her carefully formulated diet. Everytime i walk back home from school i walk in front of a stable and i just wan’t to go in sooooo bad to ask if i can ride a horse/brush a horse idk i just wanna do anything where horses are involved😂

Take a riding class, they also teach you to care for your assigned horse. They have such kind souls. In the summer, they shed like crazy, so the stable will probably appreciate the help 😂

I remember growing up at uncle’s ranch in Texas as a kid, one of my chores was to brush the horses. There was a mare named Fancy, and when I took out her brushes, she immediately walked up to me. 🐴 💕

I share a love for desheding horses. We have ponies that get real thick in the winter, but the minute it warms up, you can see the patchy spots of hair escaping. My favorite part is grabbing a bucket and just plucking them.

She will be moulting out of her winter coat. Horses shed like this twice per year. Once in spring to get rid of the winter coat and again in late summer/autumn to get rid of summer coat. When they are moulting like that it feels like you could brush all day and the hair never seems to stop coming out

These brushes are technically shaving the undercoat of shedding hair off with tiny blades! They are great for removing thick undercoats but if you used it in one place for too long eventually you'd just have a bald spot

This is very satisfying to watch. And she is so sweet. You Can just see how she loves being brushed. You should really collect some of that fur in a pile outside for small birds to use for their nests :-) 👍🏻

I do this with my cat's fur. She sheds like crazy. I'll brush one spot for like an hour and there's still more. The birds can have it.

NON-HORSE FOLK- The gopher will tell us if spring is coming HORSE FOLK- I just brushed a whole other horse....off my horse, Spring is here! P.S- Horse people, the 2d brush you see used on this Belgian mare is called a "SleekEZ", it's the type of wonderful witchcraft you NEED in your life. If you don't have one, GET ONE. They will save you hours of groom time on your horse(s). Omg this brush saved my life during the spring shed!!! It really is a thing of beauty!

my horse gets sore during shedding, so he gets a bit grumpy in the beginning of spring, but when the worst period is over he LOVES getting thoroughly brushed!

Honestly though somethings wrong with me. I watching this and in my head is just "Oh fuck yes. You brush that horse. That's the stuff. Yaaaaaaas look at the winter coat just fall away. Gahdamn. I'd love to do this, it would be very therapeutic brushing all that furr out! Enjoyable and relaxing for the horse as well👍 Lose undercoat can get very irritating and itchy for animals in general if not brushed out.

There's many different ones (videos), from pouring paint to popping zits (eew yuck) on you tube. Loved YOUR video.. It could have even been longer minutes.
