if I had a nickel for every time the main character of an oddworld game became the last of his species then id have 2 nickels, which isnt a lot but its weird that it happened twice right?

I beat this game twice when I was young, I guess both times I was too dumb to get that the octopus at the end was actually a parasite that was controlling the old Steef. I never understood why he asked if the water was free, but now I see that it was cause he had been mind controlled and forced to hold back the waters the whole time, when all the while his sole purpose in life was to guard the waters and natives. Crazy storytelling. Love this universe.

What makes Oddworld so unique is it's profound messages, hidden in oddball worlds and unfamiliarity. Remaking Oddysee was a nice fan service but oddworlds strength will always be the incredible things it can communicate and achieve through a...well an odd world.

I always felt sorry for Stranger. He's essentially considered an animal by the standards of Oddworld, and therefore fair game. He feels he needs that life changing operation in order to simply live.

They could have made a god damn movie out of this series. As long as they hire the original script, voice acting and animation staff, then we should be fine

I've always found Sekto's role and design to be an oddly specific choice. He's a wealthy, cephalopod-like freak, just like the glukkons. However, unlike the glukkons, who are weak and straight up can't use their legs to walk, Sekto's kind straight up parasitizes and mind controls other beings like the steef who was forced to be his "body". And when you expose the true identity of his body, he's actually just a four-armed octopus who swims off like the coward he is. Kinda reminds me of certain folks online who'll claim to be part of a people when trying to advocate for the destruction of said people, then deny being part of said people when critiqued or castigated as a supposed member of them.

Secto is so badass looking. He look like a gluckon, but with arms and a scarf.

Love that bittersweet ending, it's a shame Sekto got away.

I'm impressed with the weapon he's carrying, using viscous creatures as ammunition, ingenious and wholesome. Though I never played this game before, I love the lore and texture of this game, that surly is a "Odd" game. And I like the weapon too.

I remember seeing the ending when I beat the game when I was eight, and I was shocked at the Grubbs expressions when Stranger was comforting the old steef. Not only were they sad but so tired after everything that happen to them.

I would love for Oddworld Inhabitants to make more games and develop the Oddworld mythos more. So many mysteries...

Oddworld Inhabitants has a habit of only making GOOD games! You understand the world you're in on your first play through yet there's still so much more. The characters voices, design, and traits work so well. The cutscenes make me wish they'd turn this into a movie and I KNOW it would be perfection. Other games rely on being able to interact with them, but this is no game. It's a piece of art and deserves nothing, but praise!

Man, the animation in this Oddworld makes it feels a real movie I'm watching. o0o

There's one thing that bothers me,Blisters Booty's bounty was only 200 moolah,which is pretty low,but he is referenced several times by other outlaws as a top tier boss,for example, the lootin Duke who fears him for "reasons",his brother Boils Booty who tried to bust him out of jail,and the outlaw minion who was astonished that "Blisters Booty got bagged by a steef!",so why is the heck did he not have a higher bounty with that kind of infamy? Fun fact:Boils Booty must be the least feared outlaw boss because if you look at his hat you'll notice an arrow in it,implying that not even the Grubbs have respect for him.

He should of brought in Abe & Munch's bounty...

More heart and soul put into this than 99% of modern rpg games. Such an underrated gem.

Maybe the next Oddworld game there could be both Abe, Munch and Stranger as playable Characters

Never played any of these games but I am so profoundly fond of the stories and worlds, amazing stuff

Wow I never knew how little actual cutscenes there were in the game and how short they were overall. God I need to get the hd version, this game was too good. Had one of the best twists ever in my opinion. Making me nostalgia hard actually. Making me remember the X-play review of the original, when G4 actually used to be about games...

Some of the best indirect, subtle foreshadowing of any story I’ve ever known. Such a great spin-off game of the Oddworld series. Hope we get another, this game was phenomenal for it’s time, and underrated gem.

This was one of the best games I had ever played in my whole life and I hope to god they will make more like this.

There needs to be a game that has the stranger munch and Abe fighting against mullock and sekto while introducing the rogue slig

I always really liked this setting compared to the other oddworld games, the process of a once native land being transformed into the industrial dystopia that mudos is. Probably how it was for the mudokons, but no one saved them from the glukkons.

This is still one of the best games i have. I just wish they would have made a stranger's wrath 2. Whats the point of letting the octopus get away if there is never going to be another game.

This was a really good and original game that the critics really liked but sadly get poor sales and that's what caused future releases from the amazing oddworld universe to be released. That is only one exemple of the many great and original games that did poorly in sales and shows that the mass is going only for the most hyped and ordinary AAA games that the hugh companies are publishing and by that desroing any chance for a varied and original gaming scene that is not overshadowed by shootered and action games.

I just finished replaying this game today, still might be one of the best games out there for me. Fkn brilliant.

Oddworld games are beautiful

It's amazing to see how far D&D's reach goes. It's not 1-1, but to see a variant on the Ilithid, one of D&D's most iconic monsters, brought into Oddworld as Sekto is so cool.
