The way I interpreted the Oden writing scene is that he wrote exactly what we heard. He didnt write any answer to those questions, he just wrote the experience. I always thought Oden's narrating voice was just his readings from the log book.

What I would love to see is just Momo mentions the 4th Ponoglyph and Luffy freaks and doesnt wanna hear it, but Momo just states "My father and Roger went back to Fish Man Island after finding the One Piece to move the Ponoglyph to some place much safer.....a place called.....Elbaf".

I want the journal to end with a message to Momo along the lines of “Momo, my son, I leave this message for you to give to the people of Wano in my stead.” And then leave details for how Momo needs to prepare Wano for whatever comes after the Straw Hats find the One Piece.

I don't comment often, but I love your videos so much!!!! I often listen to them a few times actually, while doing things around the house. They're always so positive about One Piece and while you often make speculation, you never pin a theory as fact or criticize the story in a serious way. Im not a fan of looking critically in depth into stories I like, as it often ruins the sense of immersion and wonder for me. You do lots of careful research and bring up so many facts, deeper meanings, or interesting translation differences that add so much nuance to the story I would have missed out on! It's so awesome to just hear someone else geek out about One Piece all the time! Thank you for making videos!!

The fourth Road Poneglyph is on Laugh Tale and the only possible way to get there is that Logbook.

If Oden wrote some of the logbook with the ancient text and some in Japanese it would be possible for Momo to decrypt it and learn the the language of the poneglyphs from his father who was not able to pass it on to him.

So, I think that Oden and Toki knew about 20 years, since 5 years before that, they heard the sea kings talking about a supreme conqueror being born in 10 years and take another 15 years to grow up. So 25 years, which brings us to the current story

Yo Tekking! I just had some interesting thoughts for two possible What if timelines. 1. What if Oden saved Wano: Oden stands firm against Toki while in Wano to get the Road poneglyph rubbings. Him trying to play it off as no big deal. Later leaving to a duel with Roger where the latter has a Luffy "Tell me how you really feel!" moment. Oden spilling the troubles about wanting to stay to be there for his family vs. his desire to seek adventure. As well as both groups learning about Kido and Orochi's strangle hold on Wano. As a result the Roger Pirates and the 9 Red Scabbards team up to drive both off their thrones (delaying the final journey by 1-2 weeks). 2. What if Roger learned about Oden's folly: After becoming the King of the Pirates and meeting Rouge Roger hears rumors about Oden dancing in the streets of Wano like an idiot. Having only recently disbanded the Roger Pirates he goes around gathering his nakama back up and they head to Wano where they confront a still dancing fool. After knocking some sense back into Oden they find out about Orochi's future betrayal (perhaps Buggy overheard a conversation he wasn't meant to). Leading to a fight between the Beast Pirates vs. The 9 Red Scabbards and the Roger Pirates. Once Wano's been liberated and Kido and Orochi's been driven off Roger asks Oden for a small favor in return "Please arrest me and drop me off at a nearby Marine base?" Both scenarios sees the land of Wano saved pre story start. But I think it might have some interesting results going forward. In both scenarios Oden lives on. But in one he's the hero the people first saw upon his return post Laugh Tale. The other scenario also saves Wano but Oden did accept Orochi's deal and now has to spend years earning back the trust of his people after acting like a fool for several weeks (if not months) And with his connections to Roger/Ace, Whitebeard and Zou it's safe to say that the war of Marineford might take some very interesting turns following either one of these scenarios.^w^

Just wanted to say, in the anime Rayleigh specifically said (along with Roger) that they were "Early" not rushed/hurried into things. So they reached a different conclusion because they were years ahead of the prophecy.

Tekking, you should read a manga called record of ragnarok. Its about the strongest humans through history vs gods of all different cultures in a tournament. Roger did a read through a little bit ago and he really seemed to enjoy it. I think since you love history and mythology so much it'll be a great read.

There's also the off-chance that there's some ripped out pages too. A missing section in the book that Momo or Yamato discovered that probably really bugs them. They don't know some of the things Oden wrote because Toki herself probably didn't want that information in the wrong hands so she could've also ripped it all out. Eh, who knows.

The thing is, Sharly's ability makes prophecies from the void century a definite possibility. If she could do it, it would make sense that others could too

In chapter 1012, Momonosuke is reading.Oden’s journal and the book cover says “Oden Manyuki”. Manyuki is a travel journal that tells place of visit and people met during the trip. Since Oden was a division captain under Whitebeard, he should have a “Kokai Nitshi (Captain’s logbook)”. This info was first revealed in chapter 1012 and suggests that there possibly is other journal book(s) Oden wrote. It is possible Oden hide his logbook somewhere to protect the secrets of the world he learned.

So I had this idea that the one piece or maybe something included with the one piece might be joy boys log book and it would have an actual account of the void century in one comprehensive book rather than spread all around the world on the poneglyphs

The most amazing thing is that Oden's notebook didn't dissolve when it was thrown into the river
