Rocks D. Xebec and Joyboy are probably the most important dead figures in the story

Plot twist: Brook is actually Rocks D Xebec and he's just playing the long con. Because why not? This is one piece. Expect literally anything.

I still think Crocodile was part of the Rocks crew. His introduction at the start of the series was weird compared to other villains. HE believed in the existence in the ancient weapons and Alabasta's role and to know such info you needed ties with some bigger names and the way he always wants to kill Whitebeard is maybe a habit from back in the days. He would have been 8 and maybe he was a more unknown member of the crew and that is the secret Ivankov knows. Ivankov knows Crocodile was a member of the Rocks's crew and thus should be considered way more of a threat from the knowledge he gained then. When the crew disbanded he could have stole documents and pretended to be a normal child caught up in a battle because I think Crocodile's schemes is something that started way back then.

Moria can give shadows to the dead and "resurrect" them. Blackbeard can make a large amount of darkness. Moria gives Black Beards shadow to Xebbecs corpse and Black Beard uses his darkness to hide from the sun.

Turns out after Rox lost his last Davey back fight he didn't just lose his jolly Roger he lost his name and thus he became the Fox D pirates, which eventually just became the Foxy pirates...
