The early teens were a magical time for music - these guys, Mumford and Sons, Lumineers, Jonah and the Whale, all had a folk sound with occasional brass instruments. Gone too soon.

This may be the best performance of Little Talks I've ever seen. It seemed to be one of those rare occasions where a band and their audience really connected. Combined with the obvious good humor and camaraderie of OMAM it made for a kind of performance magic.

***** Well I believe that it's Nanna's accent that is the reason for her distinctive singing style and, for example, on Mountain Sound the chorus has some wonderful Icelandic flavour that I think really adds to it. But that's just me : )

I love them. I love their quirkiness, their originality and their raw talent. I can't say exactly why, but they remind of Irish bands. Or Bands from Breton like Manou. Probably because they seem to be so unique. Amazing.
