I’ve got to say that as a fellow Ridgeline owner with two car seats in the backseat it’s an underestimated family vehicle. Capable of navigating the urban, suburban, and back country roads with the best of ‘em.

I jumped at the chance to take my Ridgeline up in the snow to rescue my homesick daughter from science camp. The week she went up, there was already 6 inches on the ground and when I was driving up it was snowing again and they were expecting another 6-10 inches of snow. I got waved thru the chain stop by the CHP and ran into a lot of snow at Running Springs, where I made a wrong turn and was headed down a little incline. I made the mistake of tapping on the brakes and started to slide towards some parked cars (this is southern CA after all). Remembering the old offroad mantra "when in doubt punch it", I stepped on the gas pedal and could feel the truck grabbing traction and pulling me away from several insurance claims. The actual road to the camp had 4" of fresh cover over some patches of black ice, but I got to the camp with no problems and made my way home without issue. The only thing I would change are the tires the stock Michelin's are long wearing tires but really not aggressive enough to bite down into anything. Looking at a set of Nitto Terra Grappler's to replace the stock set.

Let me say this... That Ridgeline looks WAAAAY better with those truck tires on there instead of the car tires that came with it. It should be a great truck for most folks. Not as good for durability/capability for towing or off-road as my 18' Chevy Colorado. Still more than most folks will ever need though. I like it! That being said... I LOVE my Colorado. I may end up talking the wife into getting a Ridgeline in 4 or 5 years.

I can't say that's a lot of snow your driving through but I own a 2007 Ridgeline with 315,000 miles and it does and will run that well. Best money ever spent. I will purchase another!

I had a high mileage beat up 2wd/rear wheel drive ford ranger, long time ago. I put Bridgestone Blizzaks for the winter time. And its a beast in the snow, even deep snow.

I wawtched all the videos and ordered the Black Edition. The true torque vectoring AWD is truly amazing. I'll put in a leveling kit and some similar rims and tires to complete the look.

Great video! I’m looking to get a ridgeline as a daily driver myself and saw you had two child seats in the back and was wondering how that works in terms of set up with The tethers and anchors. Did you need extension belts to loop through the tether back down to the anchor for it to reach? Thanks for your help.

Does that setup (lift and larger tire) work with Chains? Or would they rub with bigger tires (30.5” diameter)? Wanting to get and lift a new 2021 but concerned winter driving with chains may rub.

That Acura AWD system is awesome. It's weird how they re-branded the Acura SH-AWD to the weird I-VTM4 when they're basically the same thing.

I'm in the market to buy a midsize truck and I've been wanting to get a Tacoma but the Ridgeline keeps coming up. My only concern is that it looks and seems more like a sedan and less like a truck. After seeing this video and how good the Ridgeline looks with aftermarket rims and tires I'm strongly considering getting one.

I am pretty sure my Tacoma could do that snow in 2Hi...maybe with AUTO LSD on and Trac control off. Try going thru 30nor 40cm of snow....that will ne a good test

I could do this in 2wd in my 08’ Dodge 1500

It can handle anything you throw at it.. except the carbon buildup because of direct injection.

Most of these dudes on here talking this and that, but haven’t driven the Ridgeline. If you want to haul get a Ram Cummins or Chevy or f350, but if you’re just hauling your ass to work the Ridgeline will do it in the winter and give you 27-28 mpgs. I have seen Wranglers spinning all 4 wheels on hills in heavy MN snow storms, while the Honda SHAWD system powers through. It’s like smarts vs. raw strength. If you want to feel light get a Ridgeline, if you want a traditional truck feeling get a Tacoma or Canyon.

My Impreza could have made it outa that ditch brua try it when there’s at least five inches of snow not that dusting you called three inches

a Honda civic can do that with 2 flat front tires in a 1.5 inechs of snow put that thing in 10 inches you be stuck at home
