OK for everyone hating on Walker, don't be ridiculous! He pitched well. He wasn't perfect! The Phillies are going to need more than 5 starting pitchers to get through this season!! Injuries happen! NO TEAM GOES THROUGH AN ENTIRE SEASON WITH ONLY 5 STARTING PITCHERS!!! No they are NOT trading Walker.

He might nothing be a top pitcher or have $16million ERA, but when he pitched last year the phillies would win. Maybe hes just lucky. Regardless he pitched pretty good, shouldve just been 3 ER over 7, kind of got unlucky with they way it played out with the walk, hit that was deflected twice, and then he missed the only pitch he had that night to Tatis who crushed it. Give him time its still early. Besides if worst comes to worst we will have a deeper bullpen with either Turnbull, Sanchez, or Walker joining the pen. Hell Suarez is the NL front runner for Cy Young so far this year and he will absolutely make an appearance from the pen if they need him to come playoffs

Everyone says that the Phillies have the best pitching rotation and that’s not true. They only have 1 true starter in their rotation right now. That’s It. Aaron Nola is ok. Zack wheeler is mediocre at best. Rangers Suarez is the only reliable starter in their rotation right now. Walker forget him. The Phillies have a very weak starting rotation.
