When we were young and my father a ww2 vet we couldn’t afford coal. With the farmer’s permission we used to go a mile or two with a handcart and a handsaw to get logs. That’s what teaches one about values. Stay safe both!

Old farm sinks were cast iron and porcelain. Very heavy. That wood stove will draw a ton of air so be prepared to heat with a window open if the cabin is air tight. You will get too hot anyway for that space and that size stove. It’s good to be warm but that sucker can heat a big space. I have the same one.

Came in late from 50 acres and a cabin. Your wife said on other blog any ideas, not too much wood (walls ,roof, floor)? Watch Anna White in Alaska, she and her husband have great ideas. You have already done your roof. They built a cabin and insulated outside leaving the wood inside as an attention getter. Then stained with a water 💦 type stain, sprayed it and then wiped it to give it an antique look. They have many ideas from cabinets to can storage for the pantry. Look over her vlogs. Your wife might like her. She shows how to for beginners or experienced.

Sink is gorgeous. I've only seen the steel with same coating as yours.
