What's with the right-wing fetish for thinking comedy is getting "softer", or you "aren't allowed to say jokes anymore"? Look at the comedy from each decade, the 40s and 50s, 60s and 70s' all the way up til now. Each decade, comedy gets darker and darker. The jokes in some tv shows now are just wayyy over the top obscene compared to 50 years ago. You think there was comedians back in the 60s making darker jokes? A standup comic today could make a joke where the punchline has to do a methed up pedophile killing a baby in a blender, and people would cheer and go haha that's dark. You think that would be acceptable back in the 60s? Or would christians go to court to try to protect the children about it?
