I would be interested in seeing more of the restoration of this tractor. I believe he left Utube about the time he was flushing the transmission. Doing some head work. Love to see how that turned out

Nice, and nice to be able to find. It's a shame here in the UK, many unscrupulous scrap dealers collected up most of the good old stuff, gave it a paint job, then shipped it out to Africa. Nice save.

reminds me of my 1991 F350, lots of leaks, smoke, all sorts of problems, but still works every time I need it to so far the only functional large engines ive owned (im 15) is a 7.3 IDI, 4BT cummins in my chipper, and a 6 cylinder cat 3116 in my bucket truck (GMC topkick) I like diesels if you cant tell lmao 2 out of 3 dont use glow plugs, and they start easy, the 7.3 uses plugs and it doesnt like to start but it will with a charge of the batteries, maybe its just because its a ford?

That’s a cool old tractor. We had a Case DC when I was a kid so the 930 is like a fancy newer tractor in comparison. 👍

I had a 930 Case, brakes lousy, started hard in winter but ran 1/2 as cheap as a JD 4020 for fuel efficiency. I coasted down a hill, the speedometer went around twice (40 mph) then the tie rod broke- what a ride wow. But it was a very dependable farm tractor here in Iowa. 730 Case gas tractor a good one too. And I am a John Deere man by heart. Good luck & I’m a new sub

Oil bath air cleaner looks to be way overfilled, bet they just poured old engine oil down the intake which explains the oilfield around the steering gear and excessive smoke trying to draw air through what now may be grease!

I hope to see how this ended up after the rear end cleaning! I know you have been reposting all of the old videos but hopefully get to see new videos about this!

Have a few case 930 tractors around south west Pa. guys fixed them up pretty nice used bring them up to our stock tractor pulls, did ok but trouble is are so heavy you have pull 9,500 lb. class or more and you are with much higher horse power completion tractors, most of them have narrow front ends makes them look tougher and cooler looking. That thing will pull hay wagons off our big steep hills with ease -down in Texas you guys don't even need brakes anyhow all flatlands lol

They’re rough. They’re primitive. They aren’t the most comfortable…..They’re also reliable cheap horsepower.

Depends on the tractor and the one working on it. They may or may not be reliable

Wow, that steering has the most linkages and u-joints I've ever seen in a tractor... or in a spaceship ;-) If that power steering belt is a 1/2" A type v-belt you can try a cogged AX type V-belt which is the same size but with no fabric on the sidewalls so it grips better. Depending on the shape of the pulleys you can even try a 5V (or a cogged 5VX) which is 5/8" wide but also 35/64" deep (A and AX are only 5/16" deep) the wider section may ride a bit over the pulleys but may grip much better overall, especially if the pulleys have deep grooves. I used the trick of swapping the A for a 5V on a 3HP air compressor where it's hard to tighten the belt and I never had a problem again. And if you definitely want to avoid any slippage and there's enough free space you could bolt a timing pulley onto the crankshaft main pulley and another onto the pump.

Not to be picky but 86 HP A Case 730 is the same engine, just two fewer cylinders. Same with 830 and 1030.

May I suggest that you investigate the product line of "Hot Shot Secret". For this unit. I'm sure it would benefit from their Stiction Eliminator and Extreme Diesel treatments. Look them up on the net, I think you can save yourself a lot of time effort, and money. FYI I have NO association with them except as a happy customer for my diesel tractor and all of my gas vehicles. Check their product line and if you call I've found them to be very helpful. They may even send some product free if you use it on camera and give it a review. Its worth a shot...good stuff!!
