I love how "it's Morbin' time" is actually kind of difficult to explain to somebody who isn't aware of the memeosphere around the movie... It's a line that doesn't exist but people pretend it does, and they say it's their favorite part of a movie they haven't watched which in turn we have just collectively decided to on one ironically hand hype up and on the other call things like "one of the movies of all time" because it's so meh-bad that there is literally nothing anyone would remember about it. And now a lot of people think the line actually exists and clown on the movie for having such cringy lines.

Gotta love Lily immediately trying to convince Joey to watch Arcane 😂 And I kinda get what she means about spoilers, but I don't intentionally seek them out. They just don't really ruin my enjoyment of a piece of media. For example, I'm going through One Piece for the first time, but I already have tons of massive events spoiled for me. Partly because of my friends who were One Piece fans making AMVs with it. So I know pretty much all the major spoilers and deaths up to Marineford. It definitely changes the experience, but also makes me able to see a lot of early hints about later events I already know will happen.

Nah an experience like that can always be achieved in a second viewing imo. A blind first viewing will always be special. That's why you can see plenty of people that wish they can erase memories of their favourite experiences just so they can have their first time all over again. Although tbf no one is eager to redo the hundreds of episodes or chapters of One piece lmao. And ofc if doing a rewatch just for an experience with forsight is a waste of time to you that's fine too

@@DrickRT It's not even really that. I'm fine and often do go into stories unspoiled, but I've been making and watching AMVs of a lot of different anime for about 15 years now. Spoilers just kinda come with the territory and eventually they stopped mattering to me. Not trying to discount the unique experience of a blind first viewing, just it doesn't necessarily negatively impact my experience.

honestly it's kinda been like this for a while now. I felt this hard with Kevin Perkin's episode, couldn't finish cuz Kevin's mic was so quiet.. I think it's this set specifically that somehow has the mics more sensitive so if they're not literally eating the mic, it can be tough to hear them when they move back while laughing or something like that.

If you're watching on a platform that supports it like windows, try going into your sound settings and turn on the "Loudness equalization" enhancement. It's not the best for mix and quality, but it always ensures that i can understand every word, should I need it.

I don't usually want like a huge breakfast when I'm on vacation unless I'm gonna be active all day and I'm not planning like a lunch or dinner. Cause usually when Im on vacation I want the unique dinner foods I can't make or get at home. Fancy American pancake breakfasts are more like "brunch" or something accessible at any diner for pretty cheap but not something you seek out for every morning or more than once every month or two. It's an easy to make at home thing to make when you want to treat yourself. Definitely not the "every morning" ritual that cereal or poptarts have.

I relate to reading the spoilers. It really enhances experience, to see all the foreshadowing, see subtle hints just before the big plot twist. Not knowing where the story goes is frustrating to me for some reason, and I never understood why people hate spoilers. I understand that people prefer to experience something by themselves, get surprised etc, but I don't see how knowing it beforehand actually SPOILS the experience 🤔 I try to be respectful and don't spoil stuff for people, but it always baffles me when people accidentaly find spoilers and they get so upset that they refuse to watch the series or the movie altogether

Not only that, but she seems very strong mentally. We all know how haters and even just singular bad comments can, as your community grows, really stack up and get to you as a content creator. It can deteriate your mental health, motivation, and outlook onlife; or even drive you into depression. I hate that sh*t happens, but unfortunately it does. But she seems to be on top of her game and not let that get to her; which is very praiseworthy and showing a lot of mental strength and confidence. That is a skill/mindset not easy to master, but apparently she did. She still is the same sweetheart she has always been despite all that. And I respect that very much.

Yeah. A few words at least, if I spend too much time watching something in some accent, like binging multiple seasons of British TV, I might talk in a full butchered British accent for a line or two until someone looks at me like I'm crazy and snaps me out of it.

I totally get what Lilly means with the reading spoilers doesn’t detract from the experience, while I do enjoy not knowing spoilers all the time there are types of shows where I either don’t care or would rather I know something, like if I get the hunch they’re gunna kill someone off or to make sure I don’t bat for the wrong team in romances. Like I found the Magnus Archives through spoilers in animatics and I saw someone’s animation of the ending scene but it didn’t make me less sad and enjoy the scene when it came to that end.

Subjective, though. For me personally, I usually try really hard to avoid spoilers. But at times, I just don't care. Or I have the same thing as Lily, where I want to be sure of the path the work will take.
