They had a meeting in jail with Piru's, Bounty Hunter 's, Brim's, and other anti crip gangs, when they settled on the word Blood, they took it from jail to their prospected neighborhood's.

@@streetgangs I wasn't at the meeting lol, this is something I was, when I arrived in Compton in 1976, I was around some people that claimed they were there back then, I was 12 at the time, but to hear the same story from King Bobalouie on the internet, makes me feel it's true, But so far no one has given another account of how, when, nor where it started

@@bighomie5213that makes no sense. There’s no reason for a blood alliance to start outside of YA because everybody had they own hood and wore red if they were anti Crips. AC Moses story makes more sense with them calling each other bloods then eventually after the cops/COs started hearing them say that they categorized them as bloods because they weren’t Crips.

Heard it was a huge meeting in 1969 at luedars park . How he mentioned west side piru but didn’t tip his hat for luedars park🙄 luedars park was literally running everything on the east side as far as piru was concerned . The park was literally headquarters for the whole bompton piru car prior to the “crack era”

1969 is when the Crips started. Leuders Park joined up with Piru around 72/73....but yes Piru blew up when it expanded to the eastside of Compton. AC Babalouie even said Kelly Park was Piru at one point too...also had Bishops and US Boys over there. If I'm not mistaken Santana and N-Hood were the only Crips on the Eastside until Tookie went over to Atlantic Drive and they turned that whole area Crip

The West Side Pirus should rename their set to recognize themselves better as a first Piru set ever. Something like Westside Original Blood Pirus (OBP), Gonzales Park Pirus (GPP) or Enterprise Park Pirus (EPP).
