Ogre Battle 64 - Yumil killing Ankiseth

4 жыл бұрынUploaded upon request. In order to get this scene, you must choose to make peace with the Western Division. At the beginning of the following chapter, Ankiseth will ask to join your battalion. Turn him down and Magnus will ask him to go after Yumil. When you reach the siege chapter with Yumil as the boss, this will be the scene that plays beforehand. If Ankiseth is in your army or was slain by Baldwin, Yumil will be the one who normally kills King Procus.
This scene is something I never encountered throughout my entire past playing OB64. The reason I think this scene is so uncommon is because most people choose to recruit Ankiseth after making peace with the Western Division. Ankiseth's party comes with 4 other fully developed units, and that is very hard to pass up.

I’ve played through this game multiple times and have never seen this. Idk if I like this scene...Man Ankiseth is too much of a badass to go down that easy lol

It doesn't seem realistic that any one man could kill Ankiseth. Granted his guard was down since he just killed Procus and he'd never want to fight Yumil so this totally caught him by surprise.

Cool, nice to see this scene again. I think I got this one on my second playthrough (like 18 years ago or something). There seemed to be a lot of doubt about it, so nice to put that to rest with clear instructions. What happens btw if you do "..." at Fred's execution, and "Make peace wth western division"? Ankiseth lives there too, and goes off to find Yumil, similar to "make peace with western division" and "don't recruit Ankiseth".

My own experience is that your CF tanks if you don't intervene at Fred's execution, and Ankiseth won't offer to join you even if you do make peace with the Western Division so he doesn't get cravenly slain by Baldwin.

It's in the video description. Basically it comes down to choosing making peace with the Western Division, then refusing Ankiseth when he asks to join. Normally you don't refuse free units and that's why this scene is rare.
