Arguably the finest male voice in R&R from the 1970's and 80's and there's plenty of talent in that category. It is extremely interesting to watch the reactions of those today hearing Mickey Thomas for the first time. He was never your typical male diva and went through time unnoticed and unknown by far too many. It's nice to see and hear that he's still going in 2022. His voice hasn't lost much and he still sounds great. Thank you for this tremendous video!!!

@@mariannematus6703 Okay, great. The full album as well as the individual cuts are here on KZfaq. The reason I ask is to say these things .... First, the album is listenable from top to bottom, front to back. I've owned it on vinyl, cassette and CD. It is actually one of my 20 albums on a desert island picks. I love every song but in truth the weakest one is the first one, called "Lightning Rose" and even that one is very good. The *main* gist of why I ask though is that I'm hoping I can get you to listen to one song in particular first and maybe tell me what you think about it here. It's called "Awakening". To me, it's what they might've sounded like if they were a full time prog band. My main point though is the guitar piece at the outro ...... to me it is *as good* as any other piece of guitar work as any other I've ever heard in the rock genre. I'm really just looking for someone else's opinion about it. Thanks, yer a doll.

My mom fell out of bed during fun time with dad, and she broke two ribs, and my sister and I would tease her and sing "Fooled Around and Fell... in Love!" and she would grab her side and get all Fred Sanford on us, saying "You two are going to kill me." Elvin is such a fine man, the one on the guitar girl, the guy who wrote this. My brother had just died before I got to see him the last time, and I sorta lost it getting a CD signed, he asked what I wanted written, and I said; "To Brother Chuck". He was so cool, and said something to get me to pull it back together. He's a fine man. Catch his new stuff! Catch one of his shows, whenever that happens again!

LOVED this song. I was given a ticket to one of his shows in '76.....but couldn't make it. In the 1990s, I won a pair of tix to see him, in our company picnic raffle, but missed him again, because I had to work that night. Finally....in the early 2000s, he happened to be playing at a casino in Reno that I was visiting. And then when he played this song that I'd waited so many years to hear 'live'.....it was as an instrumental. I only found out a few years ago, that he was never the vocalist, but that it was Mickey Thomas......& that was from seeing the video on KZfaq....LOL.

Remember, this is a LIVE performance, and so are those vocals - no studio tricks, he just stepped up to the mike and let it all out.

Love it! Hey, a big fan and subscriber here. This was from my time, the 70's, and ...well was he cute or what? Ha!! What a voice. Thank you for featuring them. He was a cutie pie, bet he still is, lol! Thanks for your wonderful channel and attitude. The seventies were so different from any other decade. I guess all decades are, but, such talent, such talent everywhere back then. Who would have thought that this type of performing would be gone now? Not us, I can tell you. It was our norm and it just got better and better. Weren't the guys cute with their long hair and facial hair? Still love it, lol. Too cute. You are so much fun to watch. We love your reactions and the music you feature. Thanks for sharing and for putting all of this great musc out there, from generations ago, for young people to experience. I think people like you are making a big difference, in such a positive way now. Thank you, it's perfect timing. Love you girl, and thanks again. It's such fun to watch your reactions. God bless, E. 🙋😇👍😊
